Wow! Is all I can say about an unexpected culinary delight. A small unobtrusive store front hides a great food experience a stones throw from the State Capital. We would have walked by if the owner wasn’t coming out.

This place is great. Food is very delicious and it is fast. I wish they had more options on the menu, but what they have is amazing.

I love, love, love the food here!! I have been excited about this place since it came to Lansing. The owner is a great person and you can taste the high quality of food provided and the friendly service given. My go-to is a spicy chicken bowl with the vegetables and plantains. Great music, great staff, and they even have events to attend on the weekends. Just ask!

The hours are very inconsistent. The restaurant is supposed to close at 8:00pm but I was told the kitchen closed an hour early. Yet, people are enjoying karaoke there. I’ve tried to go there over several times and the restaurant is closed more than it is open. The owner might as well just be a night club and hang up the towel on being a restaurant owner. I only go because Lansing has zero to no African restaurants.

How can a serious African restaurant not operate on Sundays given the big gap in that service sector of Michigan? This was the question that crept up in my mind when I made a 40 minutes drive to the closed restaurant one fateful Sunday. I’ll leave it at that for now

Had a wonderful experience dining in for a late lunch today! The women behind the counter was exceptional. She was willing to break down the food offerings that were on the menu. Today I got okra and Fufu, stir fried veggies with beans and fired plantains. It was my first time enjoying Nigerian dishes and I am happy to say that I will be coming back and brining some friends so they can enjoy the food and atmosphere as well!
