My BF surprised me last night for our one year anniversary. We met one year ago for our FIRST DATE here at Tavern 14 so for our anniversary he wanted to recreate that day one year ago. As if this was not sweet enough, we walk in and he has a table “reserved” for us that he covered in white linen, with a single rose and linen napkins. And then, the SAME awesome waitress (Brandi) that waited on us on our first date brought us over the same drinks we ordered a year ago- Tito’s and pineapple for me and a chilled shot of crown and a modelo for him. And again, if this wasn’t enough, he pre-ordered our dinner, the same diner we ordered a year ago- we split a cheesesteak sandwich and a buffalo shrimp wrap. I would like to thank the manager, Clair, for coordinating everything and the owner Christine, for coordinating and allowing us to spend this special moment together.

2nd time there… friendly staff, the typical drinks [not sure if we got any buybacks though], and the fries were good (didn’t try anything else). Music was varied (jukebox), the crowd was laid back & pool tables were only $1 a game (quarters only – they have a change machine – bring cash).

We ducked in for lunch to get out of a thunderstorm and discovered it’s more bar/pool hall than a family restaurant, but they happily seated us at one the few tables and we enjoyed some tasty wings, french fries and fried Gouda cheese bites. My boys even had fun killing some time on the pinball machine.

We stopped in here spur of the moment and really enjoyed the place! The bartender, Brandy, was just wonderful, the food was good, and the beer was cold. The inside is very outdated but I think that’s part of the charm!

Clean. Air conditioner pumps. Clean, fast pool tables. Food looks good, but I’ve never eaten anything there. The bartenders are always nice and friendly.

Great staff, food and drink prices and great atmosphere. Acacia (spelling) did a great job taking care of us and making us feel welcomed for our first experience. We loved the big tvs and tons of pool tables. We look forward to coming back soon.

Absolutely delicious and amazing food!! Great atmosphere, friendly staff! Highly recommend!! The Chicken Bacon Ranch wrap was very tasty, chicken and cheese quesdilla was season and tasted just right. Shrimp Po boy was the best tasting one in a while. Great food!!
