Talk about a great location downtown. The atmosphere inside was really calm & made it easy to relax & catch a bite to eat. Bathrooms were clean & the food was really good. The service however was just very underwhelming unfortunately. My order came out with a couple things I requested not to have on my sandwich. I didn’t complain, just picked off what I didn’t want & placed in a nice pile on my plate which she seen but didn’t care to comment on. That was the only “check on” we received during our hour there. After sitting there for awhile (no longer eating) I finally was able to get her attention for some boxes & our check. Again, the food & atmosphere were great. Not badly priced either!

Had lunch there on 4/13/23. Beautiful and clean restaurant. Awesome atmosphere with TV’s for sports. Walked in at 12:45 pm. Took 10 minutes for waitress. Another 20 minutes before food came out. Ordered the club sandwich. It was cold. Can’t believe fries were not an option. Only pickle chips and coleslaw.

Granted, it’s Mothers Day but we had a 11 am reservation and it’s now 11:45. It took 20 minutes to get seated (place is only about 60% full) and we have been waiting at the table for 25 minutes without anyone stopping by. No water, no menus, no contact. Other tables are having same issue. We will probably walk out in a minute.

I would have given 5 stars but there was no one at the door upon entering at the host podium. It was around 2:15pm I believe they are open for pm service, it was Friday. The menu is standard American fare nothing to write home about, I suppose this is the appeal and due to it’s location to the state capitol. I ordered a “cheap date” draft beer and Absolut on the rocks, Totally delicious! I’d go back if I lived in Lansing, thank goodness I don’t, but this would be a great place to visit regularly.

We were looking for a dog friendly patio and it did not disappoint. We had a burger and Mac and cheese and both were very good. The server brought a bowl of water for our doggo…..no complaints. Would recommend.

Tavern and Tap is a great place to grab a drink and some food in Downtown Lansing. The atmosphere is really welcoming and the staff are super friendly. The beer selection is good, and they offer a variety of cocktails as well. The menu has something for everyone. Overall, I recommend Tavern and Tap for a fun night out with friends a casual dinner or a spot to get brunch in beautiful Downtown Lansing.

Loved this place before they reopened, so I was excited they were reopening. Took my friends there on the first weekend it was opened and they left us standing at the bar for 40 mins despite only 20% (if that) of tables full. One of the waitresses looked so overwhelmed she was in tears. Finally got us seated and the manager wasn’t even apologetic, he actually had a sorry your SOL attitude. I ended up just leaving without ordering food.
