When we arrived we were greeted by Jerzey. She was very nice and got us seated very promptly. Our waitress Madison was also very friendly and was very helpful with her suggestions on the menu. Food was delicious, and service was fast. One plus was you got to choose the temperature on your steak for the salad! Definitely a plus.

Went to Tavern at Eagle Island to celebrate a birthday dinner. I had the Escalade Margarita which was just a basic margarita. We tried the botanical elixir as well. I’m not big on elderflower but my sister liked it! If you’re getting appetizers for the table, try the Brussel sprouts! They were so good. I loved the sweet chili glaze on these!! The steamed clams were also a favorite amongst the group, & we are pretty sure we found a small pearl in one of them! I had the beyond burger with au-gratin potatoes. I thought the potatoes would be a little cheesier & creamy in flavor, but regardless they were a good substitute from regular fries. We tried the top sirloin & it was cooked to perfection. The blue cheese chicken salad was also beautiful & tasty. I do wish there were more vegetarian friendly options on the menu, but overall I recommend checking this place out.

Personally the Tavern is not my favorite place to eat, I rarely want to go here but my family loves the Tavern. They do have great mixed drinks but I am not a big fan of their food. The staff is typically friendly and attentive. I love the moodiness of the restaurant I just don’t like their food or the options they have on their menu. The beef stew is the only thing I crave from there.

Great charming little restaurant. Everything was great from the cocktails (I recommend the Lynchburg Lemonade), to the appetizer (shrimp cocktail made with best prawns I’ve had since being on the coast), and the great taste and value of the three course meal (Surf and Turf was so good with an amazing size of steak for the price). Service was amazing and now we will consider this one of our favorite restaurants in the area. We will definitely be back.

I haven’t written a review in many years. But this place has gotten me to start again. People need to know. I hope a secret shopper /bar critic gets the pleasure of sitting at this bar and literally seeing the staff ignore you. I’ve been here 5 times, as my barber is next door. This is really truly sad. It’s gorgeous inside, nice vibe. Always busy. But the ignoring is insane. And the salads are drenched in dressing. Place is a factory. Not customer oriented.

Had 4 adults and a baby. Was never offered a high chair and was sat at a high top booth even though regular tables were available. This made it extremely hard to enjoy my meal and overall experience. Our waiter was extremely nice and attentive. However our tavern Boursin chicken lacked flavor and was dry even though it had a gravy on it that tastes like water flour paste. It was taken care of by our waiter. But overall a mediocre experience for the price.

Had lunch at the Tavern today. We had to wait abit to be seated and some time to get our order. The food was really good and our waiter was doing his best with a full house. We absolutely will return. The restaurant is clean, food was yummy and the staff was friendly and kind.
