First off this is my very first bad review ever so let me start there. My dad is in a wheelchair and it’s almost wheelchair friendly with a big bump to come up into the restaurant but nothing too major. They had a ramp down into the dining area. The waitress was working alone running around like a chicken with her head cut off because there is 3 different areas you can be seated and they are all very far away from one another. She was a kind lady. The food came out cold (as expected since she was the only one there. In addition it wasn’t very good. My husband had the surf and turf and the steak wasn’t grilled it was cooked on a flat surface grill u can tell because of no grill marks. Both of my boys had the chicken cordon blu burger/sandwich and said it was subpar and they wouldn’t eat it again it was dry and tasted nothing like what it was. My daughter kept complaining her noodles were cold there was no flavor or sauce and she had the fettuccini.

Food was delicious and the staff were so kind and attentive. They went out of the way to cool down our daughter’s food since she won’t eat hot food. They also let her pick a toy from a big box at the end. Very kid friendly and everyone was so nice even the other guests.

Pop up craft sale today.A great place for local crafters and other vendors to show people in a friendly atmosphere. All of the employees were helpful and made sure we had a good time. Small town with big hearts. Looking forward to the warm weather and music on the patio again this year and more great food!

We came across this gem on the way home from camping. My husband got a bloody and it was very tasty. The mushroom soup was out of this world! We had a rather large group (11 people) and we were all super happy with the awesome service and delicious food! Some favorites were the soup, jalapeno popper juicy lucy, the chicken sandwich and the kids smoked gouda mac and cheese. This is now going to be a stop my family will make when coming home from the north woods. Definitely worth the stop!

I always order my steaks medium-rare because if they’re a little overcooked, it still tastes fine, and I’ve come to expect/accept it. Both mine and my S.O.’s steaks were a PERFECT medium-rare, and we had two different cuts. Drinks tasted great. The jalapeño poppers looked like someone had made them fresh, not something from Costco or Schwan’s. The prices for a salad/side/bread were impressive. The place is modernly updated, decorated and adorably quirky while still having that small-town steakhouse feel, so it was a true “off the beaten path adventure.” The patio and mural made the space even cooler. The waitress was friendly and attentive, with the co-owners helping their staff and customers alike.

My experience with The Tav is gonna be 5 *. As a proud Ranger and fellow business owner I watched Kat an Troy do their soft opening right when they were allowed by Gov Walz in 2020. Crawfish wasn’t good, overcooked and very inconsistent on how they were cooked. The alligator bites were amazing. We had to ask our waiter twice for refills, she would go in come back out four times without our drinks. Seemed to do this after each thing we needed.
