I’m still fairly new to a Gainesville and was craving Greek food. My Greek salad with grilled chicken looked and tasted amazing! I love their crispy pita chips. It is not quite the authentic Greek food I ate in a south Florida but this place is good and has the flavor profile I was craving. I will eat here again but I am still searching for an authentic Greek restaurant in this area.

I’d like to start by saying I know that the food LOOKS good. That’s what drew me in in the first place. But the food was very mid at BEST. I got the lamb gyro which was a fine size, and it came with chips and I got fruit as a side. The chips were normal, the gyro tasted like it had no flavor, and the fruit seemed like those bowls of fruit you get at a hospital. Wasn’t impressed or happy.

I stopped in for a late lunch around 1:30 and got a chicken gyro. Seemed like a great establishment, so I was surprised there was nobody else there but me, but then two others soon came in. The food came out faster than I could find a seat, which was great. Fresh and hot, and not too many calories for each of the menu items. I found the chicken to be a bit dry and could be more flavorful. But I will give it another go and order something different next time to see how I like it.

The tzatziki dip with the pita chips was very fresh tasting. The lamb Euro was not that great at all, the lamb meat was very dry. The roasted potatoes had a weird line taste on them. The chicken gyro wasn’t that bad. No ketchup for the potatoes or chicken.

Went with some friends and had the lamb dinner as someone recommended it. Lamb was burnt and tiny little pieces on top of a mediocre salad which was not what I was expecting. Potatoes were okay. Baklava was good. Found it pricey for having to order at a counter but then they brought the food to the table. Had to get own drinks and refills. Would be okay at lunch but was not impressed for evening meal. If I go again would definitely choose something different to eat.

The food & service is very good! Enjoyed by the whole family. The only fresh & healthy non-smoothie option and a bright spot within the sprawling, apocalyptic hellscape of the Clark Butler Blvd. heat dome.

Never seen one of these restaurants on my travels, and it caught my attention when I searched for food in the area. It’s hard to turn down a good gyro. My beef gyro was fantastic. So was my pasta salad. Will try something else on my next visit to see if it’s all just as good.

I used to love this place. Came several times a week but they need new management. They are serving food that is old, cold and I found a hair in my fruit today. Might I add that the fruit is a few weeks old and mushy. This place was not like this a few months ago, but they have employed so “lazy”’workers that don’t feel the need to cook food fresh to order. It’s sad and CAVA is going to run y’all right out of business. I am a food critic and one thing I never get wrong, is when a restaurant is on its last leg. This one needs to make some swift changes now!

1st time here. No greetings or acknowledgement when we walked in. Waited a couple minutes before cashier took our order. Hummus and pita bread had no taste. Chicken gyro was good. Lettuce was not fresh, picked out the black ones. My husband order 2 gyros, they are a bit small for a man with a big appetite. Chips were regular ruffles and my pasta salad was pretty good. Overall, I’d prob not come back since it didn’t really wow us.
