I had an amazing experience at the new Mexican restaurant in Severance, Colorado! The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, and the staff were incredibly friendly. The food was exceptional – each dish was bursting with authentic flavors that truly transported us to Mexico. Our group of 7 guests couldn’t stop raving about the delicious tacos, flavorful enchiladas, and the mouthwatering guacamole. The portion sizes were generous, and everything was presented beautifully. This restaurant is definitely a gem, and I can’t wait to go back for another memorable dining experience!

Sadly while I write this review I can’t tell you how the food was. I placed a phone order and was told my food would be ready in 20 minutes. My wife and 1.5 year old daughter came with me to pick up the food. When I walked in I was not greeted I stood and waited and told the staff I had a to go order to pick up and they asked me what kind of taco I ordered because they didn’t get it over the phone apparently . Another customer ordered food at the counter and waited beside me. More customers came in and were seated and given food. I waited for an hour after asking the servers how much longer and they kept saying soon. I got fed up as the 1.5 year old hadn’t been fed by this time and asked for a refund. The server walked back to the kitchen and gave me no indication of what was happening. I asked another server for a refund and told what was going on l. They told me they would get the manager and just started helping other people and didn’t go speak to any other staff members or manager. I waited 20 minutes to be refunded. The manager came out finally with my food and I told him I didn’t want it I wanted my money and to leave he insisted I take the food and I declined while he made excuses for the negative experience saying they only had two cooks and were understaffed. I told him no the table right here came in after I had already waited 30 minutes in store and already had food. Very poor management. Unable to adequately handle a to go order. Other to go order waited the same amount of time and were still sitting waiting after I was refunded. Overall this experience took approximately 1.5 hours and my child fell asleep on the way to get fast food

This place is fantastic!! I was very excited to try this new restaurant in town, but my expectations weren’t too high as the other couple of restaurants are mediocre at best. Man were we blew away! The menu is amazing with great options. The cocktails were great also. The food, service and atmosphere of Tecate was top notch. I am very excited to have such a great restaurant in Severance!
