I met a friend here. He suggested the location and said they had the best cheesy Italian beef sandwiches. I’m a person willing challenge that claim. It seems like a simple sandwich to make and there are different takes on this classic sandwich. They do serve other items, I happen to be here to take part in tasting their beef sandwiches. The place is nice friendly joint. Decorated very fast food style simple and straight forward detailing what the place is. The neighborhood local spot feel to it.

Honestly, might be the best Italian beef I’ve ever had. It’s a nice little spot a bit off the beaten path, but I would urge you to go out of your way to come here. I’m sure everything else on the menu is good just based on the atmosphere. It’s got a 50s diner aesthetic with black and white tiles and many familiar old faces adorning the walls. I highly recommend going here to get your beef fix.

Great beef, great vibes, but a little pricey, which I don’t mind but be aware. The missing star (sorry, city boy here) is because CHICAGO HOT DOGS HAVE CELERY SALT ON THEM. Just buy the big shaker, and use it. The dogs, and the hot dog gods, are crying out for it.

Teddy’s red hots, french fries, beef sandwiches, tamales and Italian Ice, in many delicious flavors, is always delightful. It has been a family tradition in our household for 30 years. Seriously, one of the best, if not the best, Chicago hot dog around. Do yourself and try it and don’t forget to treat yourself to an Italian Ice. Our favorite is their Black Cherry – all homemade and can be packed for takeout too. Yum. Yum.
