Best Trinidadian food in the area! Portion size is great and the menu is just delicious! We had the curry goat, curry shrimp, bake and shark, doubles, bussup shut and the natural passion fruit juices! Highly reccomend this places especially for a quick and go bite!

First time trying Trinidad food and it was good. Don’t have much to compare it to but it seemed all right to me. The server was nice and I like the flavor of the chicken roti.

Absolutely love this spot. I live 2 hrs away and whenever I’m in DC I make sure to stop in and pick up. I am Trini and the boneless chicken roti and doubles tastes exactly the way my mother and grandmother used to make it when I was growing up. Been here numerous times and the food has always tasted exactly same each time. Top notch authentic west indian cuisine. Highly recommend. Best roti in the DMV!

Pricy. But huge portions. I was very satisfied. The Curry Chicken with white rice and cabbage was fantastic.

Counter person was very friendly. But that was it! The food was the absolute WORST Caribbean food I’ve ever had. I’ve eaten Caribbean food from Florida to Canada. Oh man this was terrible. I ordered doubles and I couldn’t get past one bite of it. I didn’t even try the Roti that I brought.

Normal spot I go to was closed so decided to give this spot a try. Sunday vibes…. It smelled good as soon as we pulled up so I was like bet this should be good. Boy was I mistaken. They most be living in the past with this best roti in DC babble cause ain’t no way. The roti skin itself was okay & that was it. I had the shrimp with veggies & if I wasn’t running on fumes I would’ve tossed it. I hate wasting food too. So that’s not something I really be doing so I forced myself to eat rubbery shrimp & soggy veggies that was more than likely made Friday or Saturday. It was bland & wet. I asked for pepper sauce & didn’t get a drop. Huge disappointment. I haven’t had a roti in a good while & this just wasn’t it. The lady was super nice tho. That’s the 1 positive thing I got to say. I’ll never EVER give this spot another try. 1st impressions are everything for me.

This place reminded me of home up north the Bronx, NYC. They are very accommodating to what you want even in family emergencies. I had doubles, phlouri, beef patties, and peanut punch(sooooo good). I would recommend this place to anyone from NYC that wants food that reminds you of home this is it.

If you’re looking for Authentic Trini food this is not it!! The cook have no idea how to make the bara for the doubles, Roti was terrible and tasteless and the rest of stuff we did not even bother to try we just threw it out!!! If the cook is Trini then he’s or she is a trini that can’t cook!! The food tasted like that friend you have who mother can’t cook!! It was a waste of our money!!!

This food was not presentable nor appealing. It looked disgusting and the meat was under cooked. The roti was dry and hard. This was not fresh food. The food was extremely overpriced and was not worth the money…1 hour I waited to receive this POS. I will not recommend as a Trini. Do better Teddy! $65 down the drain…smh.

Let me start with ice cream everywhere not one Trinidad and Tobago food truck during the cherry blossom festival of 2023. I made the biggest mistake of my life by going to Teddy’s roti shop in DC. The food was stale. And we arrived at 12:30 PM. The food was served cold. The Tamarind balls I ordered was just Tamarind and sugar no seasoning. There was definitely no chief seasoning used to make the curry roti I ordered my husband ordered three Trinidad and Tobago doubles, still no chief curry used it was served on a large dry saltine cracker. Kind of bread. The food had no flavor. The food tasted horrible. The drinks were OK and that’s the one star.
