Notice – Brisket only offered on Wednesdays. I ultimately chose this place because it was one of the few that offered brisket on their menu. The pork was decent, a little mushy (over pulled) and a little over salted. Chicken didn’t get a good crust on it (soft skin), but the seasonings were tasty. Cole slaw and potato salad were seasoned very well and paired well with the meat items. Side wings were OK – only flavor option is sweet honey glaze. $5 side salad is definitely not worth the price, only iceberg and small, but they used good/real bacon on top. Side corn bread was decent.

Ted’s was awesome. The food came out quickly and tasted great. The two meat platter with the sides and the cornbread, plus the tamale, was excellent. The price point was affordable for all that I ordered. I’d definitely return. I’m sad that I missed coming here during the year that I lived in Huntsville, but I’m glad that I finally made it during a business trip.

We were visiting from Birmingham, and it was close to our hotel, so we thought we would try. Business was slow, 1 car going through the drive thru, no cars in the lot. Restaurant was clean, staff friendly. Food was very mediocre. The wings are supposed be smoked then fried. You couldn’t tell me they had ever been smoked, they had no smoke flavor at all. This is a very popular cooking technique, so you should still taste smoke flavor after being fried. Baked beans and fries were good but average. My husband ordered a polish sausage sandwich, but it turned out to be the 3 small half links of of smoked sausage. The spicy bbq sauce isnt spicy at all, both the mild and spicy are very sweet (i personally prefer a vinegar based sauce) This place is not worth writing home about.

Very nice inside. The walls are covered with Memphis blues legends. However, the food was far from it. Absolutely no smoke flavor. The sauce didn’t taste homemade at all. I even had a tamale. It was chewy , tough, and blan. It was a complete let down.

Best iced tea and really good sauce but I was here to eat. Really, I have given up looking for good bbq in this state. Came here for lunch and ordered the number one combo which is two sides and a pulled pork sandwich. I will say this O.P.O.S. over priced and over salted. I was so excited cause they tout hickory smoked meat. There wasn’t anything smokey about it and it was more like the size of a large slider. Canned green beans, come-on y’all. And after a couple bites of the potato salad I threw it out. And the amount of slaw that they gave was similar to an amuse bouche, literally a bite. The slaw was tasty though. Never again.

Ohhhhh my word! What a great surprise! We stopped there as we were passing through Madison, and we LOVED it so much! The food was so delicious….we loved the sauces too! The atmosphere was very pleasant, and we loved the jazz music playing. The girl who took our order was patient with us, and sweet as can be!

Had the smoked chicken sandwich . It was absolutely great and the fries were good as well. There spicy BBQ sauce was a great compliment with the food as well. Get the sandwich with the white sauce it is great. Very good staff too. Good people.

I’ve been here for breakfast and dinner. For breakfast I ordered the crispy chicken super bowl which consists of eggs, cheezy browns, bell peppers & gravy, to go and it was delicious. It was a great breakfast and I definitely had to eat it on a plate when I got home. That little container was stuffed with the good stuff.
