Came here for an extended lunch on a Friday. Was not disappointed. I got the chicken fried chicken that come with mash potatoes and asparagus. Tremendous! Some of the best food I’ve had in awhile. Service was great as well. 100% recommend. I’ll be back here at least weekly.

I love this place! The brunch, lunch, and dinner are always good. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. I don’t spend my money where I don’t feel welcome, but this place will see plenty of me! And when u go here, u must go during brunch on Sat or Sunday and u gotta eat the spicy chicken and waffle! Bon appetite!

From the front door to the kitchen you are treated with GREAT customer service. This is my FAVORITE brunch spot on Sunday’s. The food is absolutely delicious! I love just about everything on the menu. Nicole (the chef) puts her heart in soul in every dish! The food is always fresh & served hot!

I am not from here. But I’ve been here long enough to know how most restaurants are in the area. This place is something I would have expected in Dallas.

Came in there last week and had a horrible experience! Food was cold and flavorless which went perfectly with my lack luster service. Especially seeing what I think is the owner walking around with a frown and beer always in hand. Like go home If you wanna look angry and drink. Definitely brought down the atmosphere! Save your time and money takes forever to get your food as well. Overall a waste of time!! They need to hire better servers all they do is stand around by the host stand..

Black people are not wanted here!! Please do not support this business. I was a frequent customer until my close friend had a horrendous experience. She and her boyfriend were ACCUSED by the bar manager of dining and dashing the previous weekend and were refused service. To add insult to injury, they were allowed to sit in the restaurant for nearly an hour amongst other patrons (not even offered a glass of water) with no clue that they were being racially profiled and didn’t find out about the accusations until they inquired about why they had not received service. One of the black cooks explained that the white bar manager THOUGHT they were there the previous weekend and did not pay. They confronted the bar manager and explained that they had not been there the previous as her boyfriend had a performance at an event elsewhere. No apologies, no service, NOTHING. Stop putting your Black dollars into white businesses who clearly do not value our service or support.

I’ve been to Tejas several times before with phenomenal service and food. Today was different for the whole fact that the restaurant was PACKED, inside and out. I don’t think it would have been an issue, but our waitress was the only one scheduled to wait tables. My heart aches for her as she was serving 10 plus tables by herself and having to apologize to people for the wait.

I walked in with 14 girls on a Saturday morning at 10:48 .. because we went to Marilynn’s first and they had no bartender, we walk in and first the hostess says we can’t do parties bigger than 6, so we agreed to all sit separate however worked for them and then the hostess told us well I can’t do that , because then we would have to give you three servers? We were confused because we were agreeing to sit separately, not push tables together.. and they still told us they couldn’t do that because they had a big party coming in at 1:00 pm .. so apparently it’s not first come, first serve? At a RESTAURANT BUSINESS!! We just wanted brunch and mimosas and they were arguing they had a big party coming in at 1 so they could serve us …

Ate here for the first time on Monday evening for a private dinner and I must say the food served was absolutely delicious. I had the grilled chicken with mushroom gravy with rice and asparagus on the side. I’m not big on asparagus, but I even ate all of those off the plate!! I was VERY impressed with the quality of food and service! For dessert I had crème brûlée, which honestly I’m not a fan of because I don’t care for sweets, but even that was made to perfection! I’m not sure if the food here is this good on a regular (non-special) day, but I will definitely be back again very soon, and will be adding this place to my list of regulars to dine at! Hands down one of the best places I’ve eaten at in the Shreveport/Bossier area!

If I could leave NEGATIVE STARS, I MOST CERTAINLY WOULD. My boyfriend and I decided to grab a bite to eat on a Friday night and when we walked in, a hostess seated us at an open booth almost immediately. The hostess also relayed to us that the restaurant was short staffed, but assured us that our waitress (whom she called by the name Ashley) would be with us as soon as possible. About ten minutes pass and we had yet to be greeted or offered water by any staff whatsoever. Then, OUT OF LITERALLY NOWHERE, the bar manager (whose name was later told to us to be Mason)–comes to our table and inquires of us, “hey, you two were here last Saturday, right?” To which both of us responded, “No, NOT, at all!” We actually had been attending a music event that my boyfriend was a part of along with other local artists the previous Saturday. He proceeded to TELL US that we had to have been there the last Saturday because we were seen sitting outside in their outdoor patio area; to which we continued to assert that we WERE NOT AT TEJA’S AT ALL the prior weekend. After he leaves the table, nearly THIRTY ADDITIONAL MINUTES PASS and FINALLY, we were approached by a black chef/cook (whose name we did not get); she told us that we most likely would not be served and that other staff members would not tell us because the other staff THOUGHT we FIT THE DESCRIPTION of a couple who had “dined and dashed” without paying their ticket the previous Saturday!!! After being HUMILIATED and RACIALLY PROFILED, the other staff members (who were primarily white), did not even bother to offer us ANY SEMBLANCE of an apology! This is the most DISGUSTING & DISTURBING restaurant experience I have ever had–and to add insult to injury: this occurred at a restaurant we had FREQUENTLY patronized. I WILL NEVER ATTEMPT TO EAT HERE AGAIN. BLACK PATRONS AND OUR ALLIES–YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. Dine here AT YOUR OWN RISK.
