Stumbled upon this place on the fly and I got the Kiku set which consisted of 8 different tempuras – pork, fish, shrimp, squid, lotus root, bell pepper, eggplant, and kabocha plus premium Japanese rice, miso soup, and all the pickled cabbage and cucumbers you can possibly want. The tempura was fried fresh to order, served to you in two courses/paced out so your tempura stays hot! Absolutely delicious and so crispy! I loved each tempura, but my absolute favorite was the squid. I also really appreciate the different salts provided – matcha, ichimi, pink Himalayan, and tendon sauce too.

This place is one of the reasons why we want to visit Hawaii every year. We appreciate that they have reopened. You can experience real Japanese tempura here. If you don’t eat pork or other meats, you can ask for a replacement.

Enjoyed probably the best tempura of my life here! Located in Stix food court on the lower level, it was pretty unbusy on a weekday night. The server was very informative and the tempura comes out in two batches for optimal crispness and freshness- I personally thought the timing was great and quality superb. It’s a thin batter for each piece and perfectly crispy. The matcha salt is a lovely addition too, and the white rice is good quality. The tempura Kiki set has a ~$6 discount right now and that was delicious and very filling. The shrimp set and Kiki Deluxe set were also fantastic- particularly the tempura fish and sweet potato were crowd favorites. Definitely worth trying 🙂

New authentic tempura specialty restaurant inside Stix Asia, a food hall with tons of Japanese restaurants. Ordered the Kiki’s Tendon and a couple of a la carte tempura pieces. The tempura is served with a shoyu dipping sauce and various salts (matcha, ichimi). Tendon is drizzled with a sweet soy sauce. Batter is light and fluffy – super delicious. Reminds me so much of Japan. Highly recommend.

Kiki set was amazing! We got some a La carte meats, which were all perfectly fried with a light, crispy batter! Some places don’t get the lightness correct, or the temperature correct, but this place does it perfectly! They also have matcha salt, ichimi salt, and pink salt to enjoy your food with! Water is self serve and always cold, service was awesome!

This place is so amazing! The waitresses was so great at describing the menu and it was great having a conversation about their grand opening. They’re still having their opening prices so come now to get the Kiki Teishoku at their super amazing price! It has a bit of everything and even though everything was amazing; the pork was so ono! It was tender and juicy but had an amazing crunch that blew my mind. The lotus root is usually not my favorite but it had this amazing smoky flavor and crunch. I am so glad I got tried this place on a Thursday and not the busy weekend because I got to take my time and savor every flavor. I also liked the all you can eat pickles as they were very lightly pickled which is how I prefer my pickles.

In stix Asia, Probably the best tempura in Waikiki! Taste as it would in Japan. Tempura came out in batches so it doesn’t get cold.
