Tesse is a French restaurant featuring the dynamic, continental-inspired cuisine of Chef Raphael Francois served in a chic dining room on Sunset Boulevard in the heart of West Hollywood. The restaurant’s name is a contraction of the French delicatesse, meaning ‘delicacy’ or ‘thoughtfulness’ — it’s also used across France as a colloquial term for charcuterie. And while the iconic pâtés, terrines, rillettes and saucisses of his homeland are central to the menu.

We reserved our seats a day ahead at 6:15pm, which is during their “Sunset Hour”. The menu is big and the drinks are so delicious! If you choose to dine the sunset hour, you will be seated at the bar / top table.

I am so glad that we went here. We didn’t have a reservation and went early to try to get a table and they were able to squeeze us in. The food was delicious, especially the pesto cauliflower. I had the Valpolicello wine and the lobster sausage. It was one of my best meals in LA.

Wow. We had such a memorable dining experience at Tesse and can’t wait to go back. We arrived during sunset hour and sat at the bar to enjoy $5 rose and our dinner that followed. We dined from the Dine LA menu as two people and the portions were larger than expected and both filling and delicious. The little gem salad was crisp and the dressing resembled a Caesar. The hamachi Crudo was fresh and in thick, flavorful slices which we loved. The bucatini was a standout and we opted for the madeira bone luge for $5 more which was delicious and exciting! The salmon skewers were cooked and seasoned perfectly and the sticky toffee pudding was so spongey and sweet. We finished with a dessert wine sampling where we set our price and the sommelier chose the wines for us within that range. We can’t wait to return to try the rest of the menu!

This restaurant is so cute! It has a nice bar and mainly indoor seating. Beautifully designed restaurant, great for dates and social gatherings. The waiters and workers are very friendly and attentive. The drinks are beautifully made and very tasty. I love how all their dishes include some type of vegetation and infused with fruits. I would totally recommend getting the cauliflower, very zesty. I love how the salmon comes with a beet hummus. I really loved the Hamachi crudo, very fresh and well made. The steak was well made and the duck fries are delicious. Overall great experience and would totally go back for more!

On our first night in LA we tripped across this restaurant on Sunset Boulevard. Looking at the menu and the prices we were genuinely surprised at the quality of the food and the wine list.

We just had our little girl’s 1st Birthday Brunch at Tesse and they could not have been more accommodating. They really went out of their way to make this special occasion a memorable one. They were happy to cut out cake for us and brought out a special sparkler candle that really got everyone excited.

My recent dining experience at Tesse Restaurant left me disappointed. The coffee service was an absolute disaster, with at least a 40-minute wait time, despite the manager’s insistence that it only took 15 minutes according to their camera footage. This discrepancy is unacceptable. On top of that, to exacerbate the frustration, all drinks took an unusually long time to be delivered, arriving well after the second course had been served. What makes matters worse is the fact that the restaurant was relatively empty during my visit. One would expect a more efficient service, particularly given the low demand at the time.

Had an incredible experience at Tesse. First the ambience and decor give the entire space a great vibe. Our waiter David guided us through their very unique and inspired menu. We started with the lobster sausage which was an amazing treat as was the special duck pate and fresh baguette which was better than being in Paris. We followed these with a shared pork chop which was seasoned perfectly and about as thick and flavorful as I have ever had in the world. And try the cauliflower and you are going to say how can a vegetable be this good! We ended our perfect meal with a small port and chocolate flourless cake recommended by our server which was a delightful end to our night. This restaurant is a great addition to the Weho scene and the shout out to the manager Jordan who spent some time with us and explained the inspiration of the exec chef and some of the more interesting dishes. Can’t wait to return and explore the rest of the menu.
