The guys and I decided to head here after our round at Navy Marine Golf Course for some barbecue and beers. Nice restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. The friendly servers explained the menu and we opted for the family pack which included a pound of pulled pork, pound of brisket, a while slab of ribs, baked beans, mac and cheese and six rolls. The BBQ is fantastic here and that mac and cheese is one of the best I’ve ever tasted. Baked beans were killer too and washed it down with a Shiner Bock. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area. Mean.

So delicious. We got the family pack and it fed well over 4 people with left overs. It was around $100 plus we tipped. The brisket was juicy, my kids enjoyed the pulled pork and husband loved the ribs. Mac n cheese was delish. Beans were my fave. Must try.

So my son suggested this place for great BBQ and since we’re from Texas I wanted to see if they had what it takes to carry the Texas name. I ordered the 2 meat plate cause being not only a BBQ connoisseur, I also have many years smoking briskets and ribs myself. The pork ribs were pretty good, not amazing but were good enough. The potato salad was actually very good as well. Where it went downhill was the brisket, although it had potential, the smoke and flavor profile didn’t really meet Texas standards but would have been average but the biggest thing I noticed was how the cutter sliced the pieces. When I told them I wanted brisket, I told them to cut the slices on the point which is the more marbled part but when you slice the point area, the brisket needs to be turned 90 degrees so you slice against the grain, my slices were with the grain which made it tough when it didn’t have to be. I wanted to mention this to the employees so they would learn how to properly slice brisket depending on which portion you are cutting whether it be the flat or point but my wife said leave it alone. So I wanted to let the owner know with this review that your cutter needs to be properly taught how to slice brisket depending on which portion is being sliced. Holding Texas in your name is important to carry tradition, I hope this constructive criticism will help with slice training for your staff!

First time here I got the brisket plate, the meat was dry. Times deli here has better brisket! My husband got the pulled pork sandwich and liked it. Overall nice spot for quick eats but wouldn’t order the brisket again.

Love this place! Our first time! Many great choices. The food was tender and delicious. Great atmosphere, clean and chic. We went for dinner and it got busy real fast. Looks like a popular spot. The staff was friendly and awesome. Highly recommended. You won’t be disappointed. We will be back again. Thank you for such great experience.

We ordered the Ribs and Brisket Meal with Baked Beans and Potato Salad. We ordered A small side of mac & cheese and a small banana pudding. It was absolutely delicious! The only thing I didn’t like personally was the mac & cheese, but the super delicious banana pudding made up for it. I went from 4 stars to 5 because of it. It has to be custard in there or something because it’s so good! We didn’t get a chance to take a picture of the bbq plate because it was getting devoured so fast.

Food was amazing. Got the turkey and brisket with mac n cheese and baked beans. Brisket was nice and tender, didn’t need sauce. Turkey was also excellent with the sweet BBQ sauce they have. My favorite part was the white cheddar mac n cheese. What was almost better than the food was the friendly staff there. It was $20 for the double meat but it was two meals for me!!!

Decent BBQ place located near the Navy exchange mall. Brisket was a tad dry but with sauce, it was on point. The Mac and cheese is second to none, some of the best I’ve ever had. Corn on the cob was good, and the kielbasa was awesome. Banana pudding is so good too. All in all, we’ll be going back. Price can be a bit steep but that’s typical for Oahu.

This place is awesome! The guy with the afro was the coolest. It was our first time there, and he gave us a rundown of everything the restaurant had to offer off the top of his head. 100% employee of the month material. Also, the best southern food I’ve had for a loooonnggg time. Meat came right off the ribs, brisket was juicy, corn was amazing, and the the beans: oh my word, the beans. They were a surprise like no other. Best beans of my life hands down. Oh, and did I mention the BBQ sauce? The sweet option was incredible. And now, I may be biased due to my love for southern food as a whole, but if you’re a lover too or don’t mind feeling bit sluggish after a meal, this is the place for you. Awesome service, awesome food, awesome people. 10/10. God bless this place and it’s workers.
