My wife and I ate here for the first time since we saw this on Restaurant Impossible and it was really good. Everyone was super friendly and helpful and the sweet young lady at the order desk, which we easily found, was spot on with her recommendations.

Food was amazing the new menu is great we got the pastrami wings with molasses glaze for an appetizer, brisket was moist and very flavorful and the ribs were some of the juiciest I have had in a long time. Sides were great we had the loaded potato salad and the green chilie mac and cheese very creamy. Will be going back real soon.

Gorgeous remodel. Seems fancy with the limited menu. Little pricey, but good. Popper burger had fried jalapeños, not fresh jalapeño poppers. Needs more bbq.

Diamond in the rough. This place was a pit stop on our way to Amarillo. The all you can eat catfish is no longer available. However the meats combo plate is the way to go. Got plenty to eat with just 2 meats plate. The ribs were delicious and falls off the bone. Brisket was juicy. Definitely a good find in Abilene.

I should have taken a picture of the plate before I started devouring it due to the flavor. Looking at the brisket, I didn’t have high hopes for the flavor. I was dead wrong. No BBQ sauce needed, seriously. I’m not a big BBQ connoisseur, and I’m sure some overly serious I’m high on myself back yard BBQ dude/dudette will say otherwise.

The brisket is so flavorful, and the fried okra is amazing! You don’t hear that about fried okra much. The cornbread had hist come out of the oven and it was a slice of heaven!

I really enjoyed the food. The exterior makes this the best secret Abilene has. When you find this place you won’t forget it. The menu has nothing that is less than great. From the mac & cheese to the brisket it’s all good. Oh, and the sweet tea will make you think of mom’s sweet tea she made ya when you were growing up. I had the brisket baked potato. I have never had a better bbq baked potato better than this one. My aunt and I drove from Dallas just to have lunch here. We will come back because there is no downside to coming here. Be prepared to leave with a doggie bag cause you want to enjoy this later again.

We were driving on our way to Midland and saw this restaurant. I love their pork ribs and sausage links. They tasted good already with no BBQ sauce but way better with the sauce. Cornbread and fried onion rings were delicious. But potato salad was way off. But I still give it a 5/5 for a small town vibe. I like it.
