Had a fabulous lunch here today. We were seated quickly and sweet Hailey took our order. The food arrived quickly. Loved the BBQ brisket sandwich (they included burnt ends!) and the smoked cabbage. Portion size was perfect. Hailey took such great care of us, making sure we had everything. Loved the paper towel holder. Lunch was very reasonable. Definitely add this to your trip.

I was born and raised in Texas, so trust me when I say that I’ve had a lot of brisket in my lifetime. This was absolutely top tier bbq. I would recommend the brisket all day long.

As a former restaurant manager, I can tell the menu was obviously put together by someone who has never run a restaurant before. Prices and explanations make no sense or simply don’t exist on the menu. I almost got up and left, but we stayed and now I wish I had just left. Finally got food ordered after waiting 20 mins for our server to come back to the table. It was NOT worth the time we waited nor the price it cost. The brisket was mostly fat. Mac and cheese tasted like nothing but pepper and the smoked corn tasted like NOTHING. Wasn’t the server’s fault. He was trying.

Ordered 4 ribs with fries and potato salad . Food came pretty quick. It really tells me it’s all sitting in the back . Ribs were ok with only hint of smoke a little dry either from over cook or warming. Potato salad may be better if not so much mayo.Fries would have been great if they had been fresh.

Stopped here for dinner (traveling home to California). Got seated promptly. Our server Kayla was efficient and friendly. She brought our drinks right out and kept them filled. Dinner was delicious (fried cheese curds, alligator balls, smoked ribs, coleslaw and the most scrumptious sweet potato casserole…truly, that casserole was awesome). Wish we’d hung around for the Cornhole tournament (happens every Wednesday).

The smoked meat here is amazing. The brisket was albousule perfection. Melted in my mouth, no sauces needed . The sweet tea was good as well the only complaint was the sides. They were flavorless and greasy. We had the smoked corn which was very very greasy and the Mac n cheese. Had lunch with a new friend.

The waitress was polite and good. But the food was at least cooked yesterday or older. The ribs were extremely dried out and the baked beans were very dry as if they had been cooked and refrigerated and warmed up. We have been here before and everything was fresh and delicious but yesterday was a total failure.

This place needs to remove “Texas” from its name. It is giving real Texas BBQ a bad wrap. People of Laurel…THIS IS NOT TEXAS BBQ. Please come to Texas for the real stuff. This was the worst meal we’ve had since being in Laurel. The smoked sausage had no flavor, no seasoning what so ever. I had to drown it with BBQ sauce which tasted like ketchup. My husband got the steak and it was swimming in so much butter it was ridiculous! He ordered a baked potato with butter and the potato wasn’t even white inside. It looked like it was cooked in the microwave, honestly. His meal was not worth the $31.99 we were charged. I had the loaded potato salad and the macaroni and cheese…they were okay. Nothing to get excited about. We had the fried pickles which were the best part of this meal. I will never go back here and don’t recommend anyone else who wants real Texas BBQ to this place. Now regarding the service and atmosphere…the table and chairs were all wabbling horribly. The server was nice. She got my drink order wrong but made it right as soon as I asked. The food took forever to come to the table and there was only one other table of guests when we got there. Again, this is not Texas BBQ. It’s a shame.

The brisket was the best I’ve had. Service was fast friendly. Parking is a challenge but worth the inconvenience.
