Our server was friendly and attentive, and very patient with my friend who was having difficulty deciding what to order. I ordered the Whole Fish, Red Snapper in a Ginger Sauce loaded with fresh vegetables. That’s not the easiest dish to find in Pinellas County! It was my first time at Thai Basil and an enjoyable experience. Highly recommend.

The WORST customer service I have ever experienced! Do not come here if you can help it! My coworkers and I placed our orders for lunch and one of them picked the order up. I opened my box and saw that I was given a different meal than I ordered. No big deal, mistakes happen! I called the restaurant to explain this and to ask for my meal to be re-made so I could pick it up during my lunch break. The woman on the phone was incredibly rude and forceful in insisting that I had ordered the wrong thing and that it was not the restaurant’s fault. I ordered the spicy basil noodles and received pad thai…this was clearly a mistake on their end lol. The woman on the phone then told me if I wanted to pick up a replacement meal that she would charge me for it. I told her I felt this was unacceptable and that I just wanted to get the meal I ordered. She then went on a two minute rant about how I was taking money out of her paycheck for “my” mistake and how this is unfair to her. She wrapped this up by gruffly telling me they would replace my meal this one time. After hanging up she quickly called me back saying I needed to give back the meal I originally received. No problem, but again, she was very rude about it. I was pretty nervous to walk in and pick up my corrected order and hoped they would be kinder in person. This was not the case. She proceeded to repeatedly berate me for “my” mistake again and said they would not replace my meal for free in the future. I stood there for a full minute of the lecture from her and her coworker before thanking her, picking up my meal and leaving. I am honestly still shocked and upset by this whole interaction. I always strive to be kind and patient, especially with those who work hard in the service industry. I was patient throughout this entire process and was treated rudely and unfairly. To top it off, my noodles were dry and very bland. My lunch break and money was wasted here. My coworkers and I will not be reordering from this restaurant after the awful customer service we experienced.

I purchased the fried rice on my lunch break. I wasn’t happy with the rice because it seem to be extremely overcooked. I didn’t notice it until I got back to my job and opened it to eat it. I literally took three bites and called and spoke with the manager and expressed that I didn’t like it.. she told me that it was normal. And I explain to her that I’ve eaten there before and I’ve never had it cook that way. I asked her to either remake it, or to give me a refund and she asked me to bring a plate back. I bought the plate back and she grabbed a fork and racked through the food and said” you ate all of the meat out of it!” But I’ll give you your money back because I don’t have time for this today! Which is extremely disrespectful. I’m literally on my break from work. I would not take my entire break to bring it back. And have NO FOOD. ! If that’s the case, I would’ve never bought it back for her to see!I’ll never eat there again just for the level of disrespect!

Very good Thai food . Pleasant atmosphere. If you like spicy make sure say so to the server. Otherwise the food will be mild tasting to meet most patrons . This restaurant has been a standard for years . Food is always fresh and well prepared.

I have been coming here for over 5 years and I truly enjoy it. Service is always great. Decor is very soothing to the eye. Food is always consistently good. Soda is brought out by cans. You can also ask for a spice rack.
