I spent a few weeks traveling around Thailand earlier this year. I don’t often eat at Thai restaurants in the US, but sometimes the craving hits. Panang curry is one of my faves, so that was my pick. First impressions were that the plate was a HUGE serving, but once I started eating I realized that it was a LOT of bell pepper, and very little chicken. 5-6 little pieces, maybe 2oz total of chicken. The dish is also advertised to come with snow peas, but there was exactly one (1) snow pea as if the cook put it there so I couldn’t claim there was none. There was SO MUCH bell pepper, they should call it bell pepper curry. Easily a whole big pepper or more. Probably 10x the bell pepper you would see on this dish in Thailand… I’ve never seen it served like that anywhere. If someone requested extra extra bell peppers substituted for 1/2 the chicken, I could see why the dish was made this way. But I made no such request. It tasted OK, but the extreme shortage of chicken made it feel like a very low value meal. Don’t insult your customers intelligence, please. I will not be back.

We order Noodle soup with pork, summer rolls, satay, and one of the curry. The satay sauce was too runny. Huge portion sizes.

So far I have dined at Thai-D 3 times, and all 3 times I have had both exception food and incredible service. This most recent visit, our waiter was Zack, was no exception. He was quick, friendly, and very pleasant to speak with. I recommend everyone who loves Thai cuisine or Asian food in general, to dine here. The food might seem a bit higher priced than other places at first glance, but the portions are GIANT and definitely worth the price. $15 for a mountain of fried rice will always keep me coming. I just know I’ll be a customer for life.

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised to find this charming Thai restaurant near our hotel in Marion, IL. We went there for dinner after finding it had the best reviews for dining in the area. Note that it stops taking orders 15 minutes prior to closing time. Our waiter was polite and helpful and not intrusive. There is a full bar, but it’s small and lightly stocked; they were out of both tonic and gin the evening we were there, but there were plenty of other good options. My husband and I shared a delicious plate of pad thai with chicken and it was plenty of food for the two of us. I ordered the dessert special of the night, mango sticky rice, as a carry-out item following our meal. I should have eaten it at the restaurant because a potion of the rice was hard when I ate it back at the hotel. Overall this was a very nice dining experience, and I’m confident that it’s THE place to dine in the area. I’m in agreement with the other good reviews.

The pad Thai was really delicious but the mango sticky rice was off. The rice lacked flavor and the texture made it appear that it had been sitting out too long as it was hardened. The atmosphere and everything else about this place was really great! Maybe opt for the cheesecake instead if you’re getting dessert.

This used to be my favorite restaurant but I’m so disappointed with the quality of food I’ve gotten recently. On numerous occasions I order a certain spice level and on each occasion it’s totally different from 0 spice to so spicy it makes me feel sick. I’ve complained several times but it’s never changed. The same exact spice level should always taste the same or very similar. I always get the same level and I used to have no issue but the past several times it’s always different. I’m disappointed because this place was once my favorite and I do love the vibe of the restaurant and the staff are always friendly so it’s not a total flop but please fix this quality of food issue!! I would be glad to come back.

Have come here since it first opened. My wife and I were very much underwhelmed with dinner tonight. Crab Rangoon have gotten a lot smaller and we’re overcooked to dark brown. Pad Thai chicken tasted like it had been in freezer a long time. Food was cold especially after AC blowing so hard. Not a very good experience tonight.
