I recently had the pleasure of dining at Thai Dara, and I have to say that it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the moment we walked in, we were struck by the efficiency of the service. The wait was less than 5 minutes, which was impressive considering it was a busy New Year’s Day. Once we were seated, the service was lightning fast, with the staff being attentive and catering to our needs.

Best Thai food around! The red curry, the pad Thai, the fried dumplings… You really can’t go wrong here. There are two locations, and they are both equally great. Personally, I usually do takeout and it’s always quick, well packaged, and they are kind enough to include sauces and chopsticks. I’ve only eaten on site maybe twice. This location is small and the tables inside are quite close together, so I recommend eating outside if the weather permits!

GPS takes you to the upper parking lot. Park towards the center before or after the handicap spaces and you’ll see stairs that lead you down. Then take a right. It’s easier to park on the Main Street than up in this lot.

This place is fantastic. The food is excellent, fresh, and delicious. It is a tad pricy, but this is Orange County, so what are you really expecting? More than the food however, I am amazing by the service here. The people who work here are just wonderful. They genuine, hardworking and always a joy to see. For Christmas they actually handed out presents, and not just little nick-knacks, but a pair of beautiful, carved wooded chopsticks and a nice, ornate keychain. This place is a staple of the Dana Point community as far as I’m concerned. I can not speak highly enough of them.

Amazing food and service !!!! The curry was some of the most authentic tasting I have ever had. My boyfriend and I eat thai food regularly, and this tops my list in SoCal! Amazing fresh spring rolls, and the pad Thai was so heavenly. Couldn’t recommend more! The massaman curry was the winner of the night!
