I’ve never had Thai food before but I’d thought we’d try something different for my mom’s birthday; it had been about 30 yrs since my parents had Thai lol. Best Father’s Day restaurant experience ever! Thai Emerald delivered on all 3 of my key eating requirements: food quality; value; and overall enjoyment. I give extra bonus points for the deliciousness and authenticity. I had the Green Curry Grouper with a “hot” level of spiciness. About the equivalent of a fresh grilled jalapeño eaten straight. Have patronized this establishment for about fifteen years and never had a bad experience! Food is always “top-notch.” Only thing I find a disappointment is they discontinued serving their Tom Kha soup in the large chafing bowl during COVID and have not offered it since.

White tablecloths and quiet. Excellent atmosphere. Wine and beer list. The Cashew Nut Chicken (and Emerald Special, which adds pineapple fried rice) are delicious. They do plenty of business through food delivery services as well.

Thai Emerald was nice but the food was just ok. We ordered the Amazing Chicken and nightly special (lemongrass chicken with red curry). Both had a good sauce but the chicken was over cooked. The red curry was flavorful but I’m glad I got the “hot” level. Service was very quick for drinks and appetizers but we waited quite a while for our food. However I think the kitchen was overwhelmed because several who can in after us got their food shortly after us with minimal wait. Waitstaff and hostess were very nice and accommodating.

I have eaten here for over ten years and the food is great. Nice atmosphere inside and outside. I enjoyed my shrimp Panang and the wonderful soup Tom yum gai. Had the coconut ice cream it was delicious. Really pretty inside decor.

We were celebrating a 95th birthday and the restaurant let us put some decorations on the tables & bring a cake. There were eleven of us and I loved my minced chicken basil eggplant dish with thai level spiciness. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meal except my husband who ordered a pad thai dish (he said it had no flavor). Everyone was a vegetarian except my husband and I. Hands down, the best and most authentic Thai food that is AMAZING. I live in NYC but am from the area and literally every time I come home to visit, this is either stop #1 or 2. The staff is warm and kind. The food is some of the best I’ve ever had – and I’ve been to Thailand half a dozen times.

I went to Thai Emerald on a Thursday with my wife. May be that is why it was so quite and less crowded. Ambience and food was good and tasty. Service was good and fast. They have a good variety of options for vegetarians. But I found the place little costly.
