I ordered the crab fried rice and paid $20. There’s hardly any crab in it and I would hate to say it doesn’t even taste like crab. The rice is flavorless. I wouldn’t have even paid 5 dollars let alone 20

I think they forgot the rest of my plate considering the Togo box was only a quarter full. Other than that, the flavor is good. Just overpriced for the amount of food given.

We have been in Thai Kun in Austin. The quality of the food, the quantity and the taste itself is completely different from what we got in Austin. A real shame we can’t enjoy authentic Thai food in Houston. So disappointed.

Hidden gem in post. Flavor heavy dishes. Even the vegan black noodles is an 11$ item with tons to offer. The beef panang curry and water full pork are not the usual spice Houston public knows about. So if you want to indulge in new flavors I suggest swinging by.

One of the worst pad thai that I’ve had. Definitely not worth it $20.

Figured we’d try something on the spicier side of their menu and decided on the Pad Ka Prow based on the suggestion of the team behind the counter (all of whom were very friendly). The dish had some heat to it, but not enough to justify their highest level of 3 (more of a medium that I’d expect at most Thai restaurants). The overall flavor and heat was fine in general, but the dish just tasted more like a fried rice than one with any unique characteristics. Still a very tasty plate, especially for one with ground chicken as the protein.

This is one of the spiciest spots at POST Houston. The dishes can really set your mouth on fire so its not for the faint of heart. If you’re into the heat, then this is the spot to get your Thai fix. so delicious — their pickled vegetables cannot be beat. Waterfall pork is also another standout dish.

I have been waiting for more than 40 min for my food now. The rest of my party has already finished their lunch. So no matter what the food will taste like, I don’t care anymore. And it’s not even that busy overall.

I took the advice of a previous review and ordered the pork jowl aka pork waterfall. I asked the employee if there was meat on there or just fat. He said there was meat. When I ate it, i discovered to my chagrin it was all fat. I should have returned it. Instead I suffered through it and ate all of it. It was pretty good though. Not healthy but pretty tasty although all just fried fat and rice. The side was some picked cabbage. The best part of Thai cuisine are the fresh salads! Why just pickled cabbage?? Also there was supposed to be sticky rice. There was only plain white rice. The prep was pretty good and I will make my complaint known next time I’m there. I still want to try the larb and chicken rice though.
