Don’t let the building and interior fool you. The food is excellent-almost 100% authentic-and pretty darn good. Service is blah, but that’s typical in a restaurant such as this. Limited seating indoors and some outdoors-seems they do a bigger to-go service. Quiet spot for a nice Thai lunch. The papaya salad is good with little spice-if you like spice make sure to request. The red curry duck is very good-I ordered extra spicy-it was a good spice level but I still wanted more spice so they brought the spice tray-fresh vegetables in the dishes-very good lunch.

Probably the worst thai I’ve ever had. I ordered drunken noodles, which are traditionally a little spicy, and they were sweet…like noticeably very sweet. The soup was very, very watery. My sister got pad thai and it was just very blah, a little sweet, a little mushy. Would not go again.

Thai Peppers has the best Thai food in Alexandria! We go here regularly and LOVE their dishes. Highly recommend the chicken fried rice and pineapple fried rice. They are so kind and the food is delicious.

Very nice little Thai neighborhood eatery nestled deep in Alexandria Va. Located on a residential corner, it is easily located by the yellow exterior. The space is small but full of atmosphere. The owners put a lot into the decor and keep the place very clean, which makes for an overall nice experience. The service is pleasant and helpful. The menu is fairly typical for a Thai restaurant in America. The dishes are very well prepared and presented, and taste as good as they look. For a nice touch the dishes are served on a variety of Asian-style fish and animal-shaped plates. Very fun for kids (and adults)! Although not perfectly authentic, having a lot of sauce and a bit of sweetness that most Americans seem to like and expect, they do a very good job of representing Thai food in their style of preparation and flavors. Everything is served hot and fresh using quality ingredients. I would definitely recommend seeking them out and giving this establishment a try, you should not be disappointed!

After Art on the Avenue festivities, my friends and I went restaurant hopping and Thai Peppers was our second stop. Thai Peppers is a restaurant that serves authentic Thai cuisine. We ordered inside and enjoyed our food and drinks on their well-lit outdoor patio, which was located to the side of the restaurant. I enjoyed a Thai Iced Tea and an order of Chive Dumplings. The Thai Iced Tea was a bit sweeter than usual. The Chive Dumplings were crispy and served with a soy vinaigrette dipping sauce. I’d return to try their other dishes!

I will be back to Thai Peppers! I had a fantastic Tom-Yum soup. It was pretty spicy. After that I had the Pad Thai that was “Thai hot”. It was excellent! It was a spiciness that slowly built, bite after bite. By the time I was done my eyes were slightly watery, my sinuses where clear and I wanted more! Next time.

My husband and I have ordered from Thai Peppers at least a dozen times. Their food is delicious (both red and green curries have a wonderful spice level). I’m also impressed that they have 100% accuracy with our delivery orders – nothing has ever been wrong in any way, somewhat unusual for delivery. Everyone I’ve interacted with at Thai Peppers has been friendly, organized, and professional. We have nothing but good to say!
