Tried for the first time today and wow wow! Loved the Pad Thai, it was so delicious. I got with chicken and two shrimps. And best part is since it’s Tuesday was only $6.99! I might be returning every Tuesday. Seriously, can’t beat that! If you’re ordering under $20 worth of food, make sure to bring cash.

thai purple is one of my very fav restaurants. i used to try to go at least once a month for the 5+ years i residing in la. the decor really made the atmosphere and the food so good i learned how to make some of the dishes (i was previously unfamiliar with) that i couldn’t have when i moved. the staff very friendly! my favs to order are the avocado eggroll, with plum sauce, the spicy cucumber w/ lechon kawali salad, the hot pot and thai tea! so yummy it’s 3am here where i am (12am in cali) and now i’m am craving the yummy foods:<

Entree portion was so tiny + watery. The Xtra charged 24oz drink was 16oz but I didn’t want them to spit in my food for questioning. Appetizer was dried! Charged full price on dessert with tax, then deduct the $2+ some cents but kept the tax. There are much more decent places around than this one! The young waitress was very polite, not the mature one!

Thai Purple used to be really good, but I wondered if they had a change in their chef. I noticed the food tasted rather differently now; it’s NOT bad, just different. One of my favorite dish is the fried tilapia (not many places would do a good job on this one).

I was so disappointed. I enjoyed the sake flight but thats really it. I asked for extra potatoes in my yellow curry and there were like 3 potato pieces but a heck ton of bell peppers like half a plate worth. Even if I like peppers it’s too way much. Also every other Thai place I’ve ever been to gives a side or rice w the curry but not this one you gotta order it separately. I decided to get the roti side and the menu picture was like 4 stacked on a plate and they just gave me one. Are you kidding me just one roti?? Also the fish tank was so gross I really hope there’s no fish suffering in that much.

In town for a few days, love Thai food, figured a small Thai restaurant within walking distance with 3.5 stars couldn’t possibly be that bad. Well, it was the worst food I have ever had, and the first bite made me want to puke, completely threw it out. Disgusting. Smell, taste, meat questionable, flavor was NOT Thai, and quality was super poor, also really oily and greasy for a fried rice dish. I am a Thai food lover so I’ve eaten at hundreds of Thai restaurants but this was NOT Thai food. Really gross waste of $15 and I was super sad and still hungry.
