My husband and I love the foods here. We have Papaya Salad (Somtum Thai), Satay chicken and the Pad Chicken with Thai basil leaves (Pad Krapraw Chicken) with rice; they are delicious. If you like good foods, great services and value for money, I recommend to come here at Thai Star restaurant. There is only Thai Star this restaurant in Merced, CA.

Food/Taste/Flavor: 3/5 – very different ratings on the dishes. We got both at spiciness level 3 but it was odd that the spiciness comes from chili pepper flakes (more like pizza topping than Asian spices).

Always a wonderful experience – great customer service and some of the best Thai food in town. I had the butternut squash, spinach, chicken and sliced almond salad – absolutely delicious!! Of course, washed it down with a Thai iced coffee.

I’m so sad to leave this review but The Chicken Pad Thai I got was not good at all, the egg rolls were decent and the Thai tea was really good. The chicken pad Thai lacked flavor, although the owner was very nice I may try another plate later on

My Poka Face
Decent, but doesn’t come close to the quality of Panang at Thai Cuisine on 16th. Thai Stars is thicker with a much stronger peanutier taste, but TC’s just tastes much more authentic to me and the price is better at TC as well. TS did not ask what level spiciness I prefer, so it came with the default mild. For my go to in Merced, I will stick with TC. Better atmosphere & deco too.
