Very expensive and not worth to pay. We visited for sunday brunch but the expectation shattered as the marketing over phone was rosy. Spicy food, very slow service for dosas, finally cancelled the dosa as v were end of our lunch when he served first DOsa although crowd was not so much where he has to take so long as we were the first family to enter for lunch followed by a couple. They calculate tips on their own and add it to the bill although it is buffet. Overall very disappointed both in terms of money and taste. Will never visit again and will not recommend anyone.

Food is nice. Staff is courteous. But I saw a MOUSE while waiting for my food!!! Had to keep quiet till I finish my dinner with my wife because I knew she would have freaked out!!! Will really have to convince myself before I go back to this place again!

Celebrating the end of summer bridge class. Most of the students are going out after but that’s too late for me. Have always wanted to try this place and it’s right near Gateway so I walked over. Worth every penny.

As soon as you walk into Thali, you feel like you’ve traveled to India. The furnishings and atmosphere are excellent. The food is to mach the decor. With creative dishes, such as the chicken biryani, chicken, rice and spices steamed in a dish with the wonderful naan bread as a top, like an Indian chicken pot-pie. The waiters/waitresses are very pleasant and I found the whole experience, while expensive, excellent.

On site stated OPEN SATURDAYS. ARRIVED AT 4 pm from quite the driving distance. No sign with hours, doors locked. No lights. Very inconvenient.

Thali offered amazing Indian food, however, permanently closed as of September 30, 2017. The same group also owns Thali Too, also in New Haven. Thali Too is currently vegetarian only, but may consider adding other options in the future as well.

Opening a restaurant with Indian name in foreign country and claiming to represent tradition is not achieved with the attitude the servers show the customers.

Extremely expensive, and totally different menu from their sister restaurant Thali Too, which I wasn’t expecting. The actual food was very good (and definitely actually spicy) but for ridiculous prices.
