While the service can be difficult and there is always a really long line, this is the BEST place for tofu. For $5/lb of cooked tofu with lemongrass or pepper flavored, it is truly delicious. One has to go through the long service line, and I would also recommend the jackfruit rice. Wish they wouldn’t use styrofoam containers, but the food is very good.

We LOVE the fried tofu at this place! If you’ve never tried it you are in for a protein-filled treat; we like the onion-mushroom type best. The helpful counter servers hustle to keep things moving, no slackers here. It’s not eat-in, it’s all take-out though there may be shaded tables nearby outside in warm weather. I also like the pickled mustard greens (don’t know the Vietnamese name). Even after they raised the prices a bit it’s still a bargain for generous portions (patrons buy 1 or 2 pounds, typically). Enjoy your visit to the Eden Center and your yummy tofu! (I took off one star because the atmosphere is down-to-earth and the exit door area is kinda tacky. But atmosphere isn’t why we go there! Also I’m thinking they might still be using the foam containers that are being discontinued? Not sure)

There’s always a line when we come here, but it usually moves fast. We always come for the fried mushroom tofu, but get other stuff, like the Xoi Vo (sesame rice balls), spring rolls, Che Chuoi (banana and tapioca in coconut milk)…

place is really good. however the lines are too damn long. make sure you come early in the morning or else you will be wasting at least 30 minutes just waiting.

I always see a long line of people waiting in front of the shop. There are various types of sweet dessert. Food is good and diverse but not that special. It is unclear why so many people visit this place

We stopped by Thanh Son for some quick bites and dessert. Thanh Son is located within Eden Center. This place was like a dream for che. They have a variety of che to choose from, as well as xoi and fried cha and tofu. They have a large list for beverages as well. Orders of over $30 to $40 gets you a bottle of freshly made pandan soymilk.

In short: I’ve been coming here for nearly two decades. Best Vietnamese-Chinese-style tofu (and soy milk and tofu pudding) in the region. Always busy, often chaotic, and their ordering system can be bewildering (and honestly a bit illogical) for newcomers or people who want to spend a while mulling over their order. Don’t let this dissuade you: the fried mushroom-onion and lemongrass tofus, the different types of che (Vietnamese dessert drinks), the various xoi (savory and sweet sticky rice dishes), and of course the fresh Chinese-style soy milk and dau hu (tofu pudding) are the best in the region. I give five stars for consistently stellar food. (The customer service and ordering logistics could use a consultant to help them rethink the process – and they can afford a consultant, given how much money they are bringing in with their great food products!)

A Vietnamese friend told me about this shop in the Eden center otherwise I probably would have never stumbled upon it. Got a half pound of lemongrass tofu (wish we got more – it’s delicious and not greasy), some dessert I don’t know the name of and a carton of soy milk. This place was packed so I would say come here with a plan. There is one line for tofu only, and another line for dessert but you can also order tofu from there too. The line moves quick. It’s cash only if it’s under $10. The soy milk comes in a big carton and it’s hot which I didn’t expect. There’s no place to sit there but if you exit and walk to your left there’s an area with red tables and chairs outside where you can eat. Also don’t bother calling here to check hours or ask questions. Called a few times due to the July 4th holiday and no one picked up even though the store’s open – probably because it’s so insanely busy.

Delicious food, whether you choose Vietnamese desserts, Tofu, or Soy milk it’s always on point. It’s a little crazy ordering things when it’s busy but once you understand the system you’ll be fine. I always stop by here on my way out from Eden center.
