Probably the best Thai food I’ve had in the DC area, if not everywhere. We ordered the Drunken Noodle with Beef, and Crispy Calamari to eat out. Took a peak at the kitchen, there was definitely at least 2-3 wok stations with a lot of jet flame and clacking cooking up all dishes fresh. Our dishes were definitely FRESH. The noodle was perfectly cooked, silky smooth, not broken, not lumpy. Beef was great texture, fresh, and tender. The crispy calamari was actually fresh, CRISPY, and tender. A far cry from much of the “bar” calamari I’ve had recently. This actually rivals and could even be better than the much more well known Sisters Thai down the street and Lemon Basil Thai (my other go-to Thai spot on the other end of town). Would definitely return.

I come here often for lunch. Service is always great, everything comes out super quickly. Food is always hot and delicious. The gyoza are some of the best I’ve had.

We went here for lunch and it was a hit! We had the sampler to taste different food options as we’d never been here before & wanted to see what they had to offer. The peanut sauce was EXTREMELY good, so addictive — everything tasted fresh. My drunken noodles were delicious, a little spicier than I’m accustomed too but I actually enjoyed that. My husband said his green curry was wonderful too. The ambiance is serene and actually pretty polished for such a small place, and our servers were very attentive and professional. Really hit the spot on a cold, windy winter day!

My colleagues and I loved the place. Owner, servers and chefs were Thai.

The service here was horrible. We waited for about 50 mins for our food. The waitress was cold and unimpressive. She didn’t check in on us or even try to make us feel comfortable. It seemed like she was annoyed with us. The staff was too busy working on online orders. They didn’t seem bothered by the ones dining in. There was a time when I looked around and realized nobody had food on the table. Everyone around us was losing patience. Some tables were seated and were just waiting around for someone to just take there order, give them water at the least. I don’t recommend dining here due to the extremely poor service. Food was decent but I’ve had better Thai.

Many ethnic restaurants I go to I have some favorite dish that I judge a restaurant by so for me it’s Panang Curry when visiting a Thai Restaurant for the first time. My wife and I were doing some local business in Alexandria, VA when we noticed Thanida Thai Restaurant and thought we’d give them a try. You have to understand that we live in a condo that is right next door to another Thai competitor, so we feel like we’re cheating on a girlfriend or something. I have to say if we’re in a relationship we said next door restaurant we’re gonna have to break up after today’s lunch! The Panang Curry was amazing with the right amount of creamy coconut sweetness, with the savory peanutty flavor I love and just the right amount of heat. My wife’s Pad Eggplant was the bomb!! That garlicky basil sauce I just can’t get out of my mind and the colors are like a painting. Well done!! A new favorite for us. We’ll be back. ❤️❤️

Best Thai food in old town!! It’s not the most beautiful restaurant but the food more than makes up for it. Everything I’ve had here is absolutely delicious. From the Pad see ew to the green curry, everything is perfectly cooked and seasoned.

We ordered through Grub Hub. They sent us someone else’s meal. Then when we let them know, they canceled our order and sent an email saying they were canceling because it was missing an ingredient. Not going back.

Ordered delivery and food arrived hot! We got the shrimp wraps for an app and they were tasty. We also ordered Panang Curry with pork and Pad Thai with tofu. Both were larger portions than other Thai restaurants in town. Both were delicious!

I’ve dined here multiple times. Atmosphere is bleh. The food is great, however the service has always been slow and abysmal. I most recently experienced terrible customer service when I called in to address an issue with their online ordering system. I was rudely cut off by the staff member who hung up. Unacceptable. Only thing they have going for them is the food.
