Been twice. Had the ribs potato salad and beans. Good size portions and resoneable price. You can taste the smoke, but not over powering. Second visit I tried the brisket with fries (fries were great) with mustard greens. Everything was good. Service very friendly. Food served hot and timely. This location has had a few failed business, this won’t be one of them. Highly recommend.

We dined there tonight and the food was sooooooo good. I ordered beef brisket with baked beans, corn fritter thingies and garlic toast. The beef was thick and high quality. The baked beans were very tasty. The corn bites were lightly fried in a yummy sweet batter, and garlic toast light and grilled perfect. This dinner seriously hit the spot to perfection. Will definitely come back for the food, plus the owner is a super nice man as well.

Visited “That Place” for the first time and was highly impressed. First, the place is very clean, the service was exceptional (southern hospitality at it’s finest). But most importantly, the food is amazingly good. I had the brisket sandwich and it was perfect, nice and juicy with the right amount of crisp on the edges. All the food is homemade, right down to the peach cobbler.

A fairly small town restaurant with the best home cooked meals. The chicken is amazing and fries aren’t to bad themselves. If you don’t feel like cooking but want food as if you did then stop by this place. The service is fast and the waiters are very friendly and make sure your served to the highest quality. My new favorite place.

The service is great and the food tastes very good (I believe it’s made at the time of the order?). My only “complaint” per say is that the fries are a little bland and there is not much variety if you bring a family member who isn’t a fan of BBQ (because let’s be real, there’s often at least 1 person in the party if you go to a restaurant in a group who isn’t a fan of BBQ at a BBQ restaurant). The staff are very pleasant however!

The place was very nice, very clean, quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The waitress was amazingly nice and kept checking in and definitely made sure we had what we needed. Everyone was very nice and courteous they all worked well together and it seems like a calm work environment as well. I really like it and food was large portions for the price you definitely got more than what you pay for and the food was incredibly good! I’d definitely go there again as well as suggest it to others!

Every time I come in, the staff is so inviting and always ready to wait on me. I’ve been a waitress for years,so I understand how much a friendly face helps business. I couldn’t give enough praise about the staff. At first, I thought the food was a little high priced,BUT once you taste it you understand why. The food is made by people who love cooking and understand how to make great bbq. Try them out. If the food doesn’t please you,the staff will! You won’t regret it!

The staff was very friendly and the place was clean. I ordered ribs, baked beans and cole slaw. My fiance ordered the brisket sandwich and baked beans. My ribs were overcooked and so dry I could barely chew them. My teeth are very sharp. The beans were cold and cole slaw looked and tasted old. My fiance said his sandwich was good. The BBQ sauce was tasty. A little pricey for the quality of the food. I like to support local owners and I do. Won’t return for more ribs here though.

The staff was awesome so friendly and prompt. Very clean and the food was delicious. The dang BEST sweet tea I have ever had at a local restaurant. I was starting to wonder why we lived in the south and people couldn’t make sweet tea but they can for sure. Will be going back.!!!!! Great job guys.

Oh man that was good! The meat was moist and they give you a knife but you don’t need it it’s that tender. The baked beans are a must. I’m not the biggest fan of baked beans but theirs are amazing. The place is also spotless and the staff is very friendly. Everyone acts like your friend and neighbor and don’t treat you like a stranger. This place puts Hillbillies to shame. Don’t let that fact that it’s beside a gas station or in an old Waffle House fool you, this place is awesome. CONS: Check your togo before leaving that you have everything. They forgot the BBQ sauce of all things. Also take a pass on the Brunswick stew unless you’re hypoglycemic.
