Amazing food and staff! Worth the pretty drive, especially for a special date night. We went for our anniversary and they went above and beyond. My husband talked for a week straight about his Cajun pasta! Goat cheese fritters, cocktail, hot brown, Cajun pasta, and cheesecake were all too-notch! We can’t wait to go back

Every time we have been here, the food is over the top excellent! The service is also personal and makes you feel like a neighbor and treasured guest. We have referred many here, even from out of the country! As I’m writing this, I’m realizing we need to go back…so maybe that’s tonight! This is a true gem that everyone needs to visit. The chef is well trained, the servers are great, the atmosphere is unique and special, the cocktails are superb. They are doing it right!!

This is our go to now! Its a great spot for any special occasion & perfect spot for date night, or just a night out with friends & family. The food is absolutely AMAZING!! Everything is always cooked & seasoned perfectly. Logan and his staff are fantastic!! They make you feel loved & at home!! My wife and I came tonight for our anniversary. I’ve got to say 1894 was a spectacular place to eat. You think what in the world can be out in the middle of a rural area that’s this good .. Well it’s 1894! They totally hit the nail on the head with this place. I told my wife I would never go to Outback or longhorn’s as long as 1894 is around and I’m still living in Charlestown and 1894 is still here. Not saying those opposing restaurants are even in the same league because they’re not. Our server was spot on. Our food was absolutely fantastic. The Pork chop and cherry demi glaze may have been the best I have ever had and ranks right up there with my grandmother’s, which is saying alot! You can see the chef’s creations are a masterful work of food art. They take pride in ownership and the well being of their customers. This is an understatement when I say it’s a very unique and quaint place to eat. You’re taken back in time.

We drove an hour and a half to try this place and couldn’t have been happier! These pictures are from the 2 times we’ve been. We plan on going back as soon as we can. Haven’t had a single bad thing. It’s all delicious!

Love The 1894 Lodge! We have never had anything we didn’t like from here! Service is always good and we enjoy trying new things from the weekly specials. I do wish you would bring back the 5 cheese mac-n-cheese though, it was the best!

Very very good restaurant. It’s a 3 floor building but the third floor is currently under construction. There are a bunch of cool pictures and objects dating way back to the late 1800’s and early 1900’s that add to the overall ambiance. The restaurant has a cool, modern aestethic going for it, too. The first floor is the restaurant and the second is a bar which had live music when we were there.

This one of the best restaurants in Indiana hands down. Nothing compares to the quality here. Absolutely amazing staff (Kaci is amazing every time) and the chef is one of the nicest people I’ve met at a restaurant. The atmosphere has a chill but fun vibe to it and the outdoor area is beautiful.
