It’s actually been a couple years since we’ve eaten here and I feel like the store part was new but I’m not 100% sure. I thought it looked great though, I enjoyed looking through the items that they had for sale in the store while we waited for our name to be called. We waited for maybe 20 minutes or so but it flew by pretty quickly. I think we were getting there at the tail end of the lunch rush. They were out of gravy and french fries this day but I know lots of things are short supply everywhere so it wasn’t a big deal there were plenty of other things to choose from on the menu. I ended up going with the chicken and waffles and I was not disappointed! The chicken strips were so big I’ve never actually had a chicken strip that size before and the fact that they were hand breaded was even better! The waffle came out in a cute little flower design and it tasted fantastic. My son also got the chicken strip basket with tater tots & loved them. Our waitress was super friendly and we really didn’t have to wait too long despite the fact that they were really busy. She was attentive and got us boxes when we were ready to go and practically $10 a meal wasn’t horrible at all, we will definitely be returning!

Food and service great as always. A lot of regular customers. Very busy. Friendly staff . Party of 6 in and out in about an hour. Including a short wait for seating. Emily was our waitress. She interacted with us. Very nice. She made sure all our needs were met. I highly recommend this place. In peoria I would consider this a landmark breakfast spot. Their hashbrowns are definitely the best around. Update. Another great meal and service from the 50’s diner . The owner came to our table. Made sure all 7 of us were being taken care of. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend !!

Good food, friendly staff. Went here for the first time today and really enjoyed the sausage patties. Most places make em too rubbery, but they hit it right on the mark. One of the two reasons I left 2 stars is due to one of the workers exuding a rather pungent weed smell. The other is due to me finding two hairs in my food; one in my french toast and the other in my scrambled eggs. Again, great sausage and friendly people. Would leave 2.5 stars but it won’t let me

I had breakfast and the eggs were cooked to perfection! My daughter had a hamburger with french fries. Everything about the breakfast and lunch was delicious! They give you decent portions and the price is also decent. The place itself looks amazing! Plus, there’s a gift shop! Definitely going to come back. Needs more than five stars!

This place was fairly busy and they were definitely stacking up as we were leaving. i had an omelet and about a gallon of coffee both hit the spot! the service was pretty good and the atmosphere is pretty unique. I’ve been there a couple times now and enjoyed all my visits. it’s not fancy but it has the feeling of a retro dinner not authentic but just enough to get the feels

We had breakfast here. I ordered eggs and toast with hash browns. The service was great. But the food was dismal. I found plastic in my food from some sort of food wrapping. And we both got very ill shortly after eating. Food poisoning of some sort. I wish the food marched the friendly staff. The line cook messed up big time. I’ll not be returning in the foreseeable future.
