Worthwhile stop if you’re in the area. Went for taco sampler (1 salmon 1 halibut). Clean place with good service and warm bright seating area. Simple menu. Food seemed extremely fresh. Lots of pico and vinegar in the tacos and slaw, just right for the tacos and a little spicy for the slaw. Halibut was a bit dry and salmon leaner than the usual farmed kind but fresh and hot, with a surprisingly good mild seasoning. Beneath all the veggies in the pictures is a good solid layer of fish, so don’t worry about portion. Slaw was packed tightly and very generous, cool and fresh but got spicy quickly near the bottom. The pricing is tourist area pricing, so you’re not getting away from that. Overall a good stop in town.

Stopped in for lunch after recommendation from a local resident. We were not disappointed. You walk up and order your food from the counter. They give you a number and try to have a seat. It was really crowded and had trouble finding a seat. Had some good local beer and a great Bloody Mary. Had half a Dungeness crab and fish and chips. They both were wonderful. Wish I would have gotten the whole crab. It was $50 though. Quite expensive but hey, we were on vacation. The location was nice just wished it was warmer so we could sit outside.

I will start off by saying this place is expensive. I can’t say it’s overpriced because I was so happy with our meal. They have a great system and a small menu which makes for quick service. The salmon chowder was incredible! We got the sampler fish and chips and they were perfect, I am obsessed with the tartar sauce they make. Lastly, the crab was incredible! They had perfect texture. Soooo good! Again, pricey, but I’m so happy we came and hope to one day return.

We came in on a cruise and a bus driver told us this is the best place. I completely agree. The food was insane good. We got the AK Sampler platter, Half Pound Crab Legs and a Cup of Chowder. So tasty and delicious. The staff is super helpful and friendly. Everyone should go here if they want good seafood.

This place was so good!! The fish is fresh and perfectly cooked. We got the AK sampler and the grilled AK tacos with a bowl of the smoked salmon chowder. The chowder was the best I’ve ever had!! The fish is perfectly cooked and crispy. Fries well seasoned. Coleslaw is vinegar based with onion and cilantro and went perfectly with the tacos. Saw others who ordered the crab and it looked amazing as well!! There is a bar as well on site.

This place was tremendous. Best fish I’ve had in a long time ⌛️. There was a little line, but o line because they just opened. You pay up front, then find a table. And the service was fast, got our food very quickly. We tried the fish sampler, cod, halibut, and salmon. Perfect !!! And the fries were perfectly seasoned. This place is a must for a visit to Ketchikan!

After our tour at the Saxman Tribal house my wife and I have were very hungry we ask a local what recommend she recommend she say the Alaska Fish House just walking distance. We decided to go there to try it out this restaurant is very popular with locals and visitors from cruise ships. We were looking at the menu on the display some of the fish’s are Market pirice depending on the⁹ fish. We decided to get a three piece fish with fries then we pick the fish. We pick salmon, halibut and cod they give us a number then we waited.

The line can be long, but also worth the wait. We tried most things on the menu – crab (excellent), halibut fish and chips (amazing), fish tacos (good, but I prefer soft shell not hard shell for fish tacos), and clam chowder (fabulous).
