Unassuming place, personal attention from owners of this family-owned business. Huevos rancheros and everything else was delicious. Including grilled chicken and pancakes (with a mound of mango) for kids, Huge portions. Inexpensive. Love it. Will go back for dinner next time.

Skip going into the heart of SONO and choose The America’s Cafe, a small “Latin & American” restaurant that sits on the corner of S. Main and Raymond St. The prices are ridiculously reasonable (half of what you’d pay in the heart of SONO), the food is well seasoned and delicious! I ordered the shrimp and black bean salad with a side of french fries. Aside from a few wilted greens, everything was on point! The fries were cut from fresh potatoes. The hostess/waitress was professional, friendly, and very attentive. She checked in on me about 3-4 times during my visit and I was super appreciative of that. I decided to sit outside and thoroughly INjoyed the small patio decor and people watching. Save a few dollars and check out this place!

The family and I stopped at this restaurant on our way back to New York from Connecticut. We took a chance in a definitely paid off. The food was great. The inside of the restaurant is rather small so we decided to eat outside. This worked best for us because we had about 9 people eating. From the appetizers to the main course, everything was good. The waitresses were extremely friendly and accommodating and made our experience of very pleasurable one. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and if I am ever back in the area, I’m definitely going back.

While taking a bicycle ride the other day I came across this little gem.. the food we ordered was fantastic and very well presented. The place was super clean even the bathrooms. Met the chef Caesar and chatted with him real nice guy. the hostess was very nice as well it was a wonderful experience I highly recommend dropping by and giving the place a try.

My man and I stopped by this spot today because the reviews were so good, and we were not disappointed! I started with the banana smoothie and it was delicious; I don’t know anywhere else in the area where you can get a large, fresh smoothie for $3.50. Honestly worth the trip just for that. The sweet plantains were soft yet crispy and tossed in a perfect amount of cinnamon. By the time we got to the enchiladas (shrimp and short rib) we were both full because the portions are generous, but we still were able to sample them. Amazing! My boyfriend was literally scraping the sauce from the shrimp enchiladas off of the plate into his to go box. We ended up getting four meals out of the food we ordered, yet the bill was very affordable. The staff was friendly, helpful, and they spoke excellent Spanish and English. Plenty of accessible and free parking around the corner. Highly recommend this hidden gem in Norwalk!

Came in for dinner tonight. First time here and I’m so happy with my choice. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. I had the surf and turf with yucca fries and green beans. The creamy sauce was delicious and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. I will be back.
