Food was pretty tasty. We ordered crab fries (unique and flavorful), fish dip (quite refreshing), and the hot shrimp dip (buttery but good.) A couple beers and ciders to drink too.

The service here was exceptional – friendly and super fast. We tried the crab fries as an appetizer as it seemed such a unique item. It was very good but I might have preferred less seasoning to allow the crab flavour to come through. The philly beef was great – lots of flavour and tons of meat. The lobster sandwich was very good with abundant lobster meat. The meat was, however, more of the stringy variety rather than chunky. Overall the food was extremely good, but a bit short of outstanding. I would go back.

Great, local bar/restaurant with great burgers, wings and sandwiches. The food was way better than expected. Try the Chicago beef or Phili cheese sandwiches. The chef knows what he’s doing. Seriously. Recommended.

The service was very good. Restaurant is very clean . There are a few booths and outdoor picnic tables on a sandy back yard. There is an outdoor( screened in area) bar and a very large indoor bar. So if the booths are taken there are lots of bar chairs.

Dropped by for lunch while in town. We had our doubts about the food since it looked like mostly a bar. However, the food was excellent and the waitress was very thoughtful and helped us pick some good items. Husband is very picky about seafood and he was pleasantly surprised to find the crab on the fries was real blue crab (not “krab”). The captain burger was amazing and the kids loved their cheeseburgers too. Would return.

I had A philly sub and Fries. Food was fantastic. The only complaint is They only had 2 people Running the bar And the tables. so the poor girl was running around. Trying to keep up with everyone . But She did a great job.

Me and my husband discovered The Anchor while staying on Sunset Harbor at the lake. Great food, great locals, great music, outside and inside atmosphere. Best of all great service by the cooks and the server and most especially the bar tender Johnny every time we go!!!!!
