I’m big on service and I had very good service here. My pom martini was delicious. The tortilla soup was horrible. It tastes like tomato soup. The manager happened to come over and ask me how I liked it and I told him I didn’t care for it. He admitted that it is different and has a tomato base. He gave me the shrimp cocktail instead and took them both off my bill. The shrimp cocktail was nothing special, but the dipping sauce that came with it was delicious. The fried chicken sandwich and fries were extremely delicious. Jalapeño cheddar grits really didn’t have that much flavor and the grits were not cooked through. The berry grunt didn’t wow me. I only saw blackberries when I thought it was mixed. By the time they brought it out the ice cream was 1/2 melted away and the dessert was sitting in milk.

Atmosphere was great, calming. Food was ok. Location was nice, parking scarce- valet parking available. Staff were indifferent but not rude.

Love this place! The atmosphere is lovely and elegant. The food is amazing! And the staff is so welcoming! I wish I could post a review for this restaurant every time I visit! Allow me to brag on my experience there….the pancakes are the best I’ve ever tasted. So light, fluffy and the flavor is delightful! The service is always so pleasant. We had the pleasure of meeting the Manager (Mike), who was very accommodating and made us feel so comfortable. This place has the spirit of excellence on it!

The food was good and the service was exquisite. Outstanding wait service with two assigned staff to our table of three. Will definitely come back for a special night.

Our server Kimberly was top notch! Knowledgeable and took care of our party of 15 with ease. Started with the crab tostadas, they were bland and the meat wasn’t sweet crab, and covered in some white sauce, wasn’t a fan. The filet was cooked to perfection (medium rare+) however needed a little seasoning, so I asked for A1. What they brought me tasted like a thick tamarind flavored steak sauce, so I just added salt and brought it home. The asparagus, brussels sprouts and cheesecake were amazing though. For the price, I’d probably go somewhere else.

Was in Houston for a conference, and decided on Annie’s for dinner last night. It helps that it was a Tuesday and not crowded, but the service was great nonetheless. I sat at the bar, and got good suggestions and light conversation. The food too was quite delicious – the fried quail leg stood out l, and I liked the gulf shrimp app as well. The cocktails menu wasn’t especially creative, but the bartender prepared my choice well enough. All around good experience, and worked well for dining alone.

I went and had a lovely lunch with a friend. I had picked a time for lunch that was not particularly busy the noon to 3:00 slot on a Wednesday. Our waiter seemed less than thrilled and we had to ask for things like the bread. If we had irritated him we certainly didn’t mean to. The hostess particularly seemed to stand offish and we asked her to take a photo of us and she told us to wait a minute and then left for at least 5 to 10 minutes before she came back. This place would be lovely with slightly happier customer service especially for the price. But food was excellent

The Annie is the place you want to go with your girlfriends! It’s incredibly aesthetically pleasing, the atmosphere is lively, and the cocktails/food are noteworthy. Especially, the espresso martini! I went with a group of friends on a Thursday night and the staff was super accommodating when we wanted to sit in the main room after accidentally booking bar seating. This would also be a great spot for a brunch, which I cannot wait to try next! Highly recommend for anyone visiting Houston!
