Founder and owner Carl Wheeler has always appreciated families enjoying themselves at meal time. He started working in the restaurant industry at a young age and as a teenager, he helped in the kitchen of his parents’ restaurant. With the experience from working at his parents’ restaurant under his belt, he found employment with a growing family restaurant chain. He worked his way from cook to vice president. After years of continued growth and experience as vice president, he left in 1987 and opened his first Apple Peddler Restaurant.

New Shortened Menu, Good street tacos, Good coffee. It seems very short staffed as there was only one waitress and one chef, As long as you are patient you will have a nice time, I highly recommend chatting with staff it seems like they are having a hard time. I recommend coming here if you want a bite to eat in a very quiet environment. Overall very good experience and very relaxing.

To be fair I am padding the atmosphere category slightly, as that the place could use a good run through with a feather duster, however…this place, like most diamonds in the rough, has spectacular food. The value is excellent and the food has been consistently wonderful. Friendly staff and surprisingly prompt food prep. I was suspicious of microwave tomfoolery at this pace, however none of the earmarks of that was evident. Pitch perfect griddle work from whomever is regularly at this post. No heavyness in the battered items, quality proteins and the finesse of preparation is evident in the finished product., Great value…

The absolute best fish and chips meal ever! The fish is generously portioned and perfectly cooked and very meaty! The coleslaw was the best I’ve ever had, No kidding! Everything was so delicious! The tarter sauce was the best also, and homemade as well as the coleslaw. My mom’s birthday dinner was Perfect ❣

Been waiting to try this place. Waited almost 5 minutes just to be seated. Literally 1 waitress for the whole restaurant which was pretty empty. This made the service extremely slow. Once we were waited on, the waitress acted so annoyed at my questions about different dishes. She didn’t know the answers to most of them. She did not bring out our appetizer until our meal was ready. Once we finished eating, we had to stand near our table just to get her attention. Then getting her at the register to pay was a nightmare. Sorry, not going back and 100% do not recommend.

Very poor customer service I wish I can give this place a negative star. Food was ok enough. Our server was not polite or well mannered. Never checked on us to see if the food was OK or give us more water. She gave us the check when we received our food. A very quiet restaurant definitely too quiet. No music in the background. Could hear everything going on in the kitchen. When we went to go pay ( which is done when you leave the table at the cashiers desk) 2 employees couldn’t help us because it had to be the server we had. I would not recommend this place unless they replace the server staff. Never going again.

Food was horrible, ordered the rockfish wich the bottom half of was inedible, very hard textured. Don’t know how you mess up a salad but the lettuce was soggy. The cook had a very bad attitude and made me feel totally unwanted, won’t be going back
