The Arepa Place specializes in a Colombian and Venezuelan dish known as arepas, which we make the traditional way! First, we boil and grind the corn. After kneading the dough, we make the patties and then grill them. The arepa is cut open and stuffed with your choice of mozzarella cheese, black beans, fried plantains, shredded beef, chorizo, and/or chicken. We also have breakfast arepas! Each arepa comes with one of our homemade salsas. We also serve delicious empanadas made from freshly ground corn. These corn pockets are stuffed with mozzarella cheese, shredded chicken, ground beef, or potato and eggplant before being deep-fried. Lastly, we also offer side dishes of sweet plantains or plantain chips with salsa and/or guacamole.

By far some of the best food I have tried in a long time!! The Arepas are huge and are stuffed completely full! I recommend the loaded arepa but all of them are fantastic! The salsas they have are very very tasty but not overly spicy which was nice.

The owner lady was very nice and has a very clean restaurant, she speaks excellent English and Spanish (both languages better than I could dream of speaking that well), has a huge variety of hard to find foods, and quick service too. I hope she expands nationwide someday so others can experience this too. The lighting is exceptional and places detail in all the right places such as walkways and tables where your food will be, and the lighting perfectly matches how friendly she is too.

Fabulous food! We had several ages and tastes and everyone loved every item we ate! All gluten free and so so good you would never guess it! Juices are refreshing and not fake nor syrup tasting… just fresh goodness from start to finish! Cannot wait to be back and eat more! People were so friendly and it was clean and a fun atmosphere too! Highly recommend!

Wonderful little spot in the larger Findlay Market complex. Ordered The Great Arepa and was thoroughly satisfied. The staff were friendly and helpful with suggestions. This restaurant is very small so there isn’t a ton of indoor seating, just be aware. No complaints here!

I came here to get the empanadas. They have a crunchy corn exterior that is really good. In my opinion they are over priced. I got 2, one beef one chicken. Although I thought the taste was good, and the verde good as well, they were small and didn’t have a lot of meat. I spent $8 on 2. After I ate my friend decided to go to the bbq place next door. He got a pulled pork sandwich. His $7 sandwich was HUGE. It had enough meat that after he ate his sandwich he could have made 2 more sandwiches with the meat left over and he said it was good. I definitely regretted my decision to eat here instead of next door considering the difference in amount for how much money we both spent.
