What a fun place! There are several places you can eat: indoors, in the lanai, or on the porch. We chose to eat outside. They have fans as well as heaters for the winter. A big storm was about to break but the porch is deep enough that we didn’t get wet.

WHAT A DELIGHT . . . to finally be able to visit this quaint & charming place. First a walk in their decorated for Halloween garden/yard art area. Next to the dock to feed the soft shelled turtles and fish – so many, so (seemingly) hungry! The weather was great so we ate outside. Food tasty but nothing extra special, unfortunately. And the children’s portions were extremely light in substance. But we made do and I would return again but more prepared with extra food for the kiddos. *** Visited here for lunch after a fabulous excursion at the AWESOME playground in downtown Auburndale.

Nice place to get together with friends and enjoy an inexpensive “picnic lunch” and some shopping. Menu items are soups, salads, sandwiches, and desert with a wide variety or options and daily specials. Your order is delivered to the table in a wooden picnic box. The food is pretty simple, but it’s enjoyed in a garden themed atmosphere. The teas are delicious.

It was my first time here. The food was good. I didn’t give 5 stars because I forgot to order my dessert so I went back and ordered it after my meal and I explained that I didn’t order with my meal and still got charged 3$ for the cake. Which was a bite sized piece. I ordered a chef salad to go. And didn’t really look at it until I left which was my fault because it was definitely not worth it. It was a very small salad. With minimal toppings.

Back Porch is a pretty cool find. We enjoyed it very much. I wish they had regular lemonade as a drink and unfortunately they have Pepsi instead of Coke lol. Blue cheese coleslaw was a bit odd but they do let you know that on the menu. Would love to see if they would ever try a different type of coleslaw as a second choice. Will definitely be back.

While the menu may be limited it makes up for that with food that is very good. My wife and I have never had a meal that was not very good. I always get the build-your-own salad and it is always quite fresh and delicious. I highly recommend for the dessert the ice cream cookie sandwich. Very tasty. The service is outstanding and the prices are not expensive.
