My favorite burger ever ! Prices are reasonable, the owners are the nicest local family. When we travel I always think I can’t wait until I come home to get a backyard burger. You’re missing out if you haven’t been. It’s consistent fresh food every visit. Backyard never disappoints.

Pretty cool place with great food. Their hamburgers are seasoned very well. The fries and onions rings were very fresh. They had some card games and tvs while you wait. The fried apple pie was super fresh and delicious. Lots of outdoor seating, indoor seating; there’s a drive thru lane or call ahead lane. Over all awesome local place that I will be sure to tell people about.

The burgers and fries were of wide variety, and the ones we had were sooo delicious! The staff and service were awesome and they are very nice people. The place was fun and when we went there, it was karaoke day and there were two stalls for local businesses to sell their products (it was the Strawberry Festival that weekend at Poteet). While there, don’t skip on the desserts. We had the Strawberry Churro Sundae and it was delicious!

We just had our first experience here and it was a great one! We will definitely becoming back and soon with our family and friends. I highly recommend coming here. Very clean place, friendly workers, family owned and operated, delicious food! Outside of the box fun food options as well I might add lol. We really enjoyed every bit of it.

All I can say is good people, good portions and great food. Our waitress was super helpful and down to earth and answered all our questions, the food was hot and delicious and my wife and I are going to go back to try the other dishes. Gave this place a try after reading some reviews online. They have a patio and inside seating. We were greeted and seated immediately(inside dining). The staff was kind and welcoming. The food was just as good too. I have the Backyard Burger(highly recommend it), the fries were served fresh and crispy not greasy. The staff checked on us regularly and even the owner checked on us to see how was everything. I can see why this place has such great ratings. Overall this is a great, well organized family establishment. If you’re ever passing through Poteet Tx check out The Backyard Kitchen, you won’t be disappointed.

I’m a truck driver from the Houston area and was delivering and staying in a town called Pleasanton,Tx for the night for next day delivery. I google restaurants and went down the list so this 1 place stuck out to me THE BACKYARD KITCHEN in a small town 9 miles over called Poteet,Tx I bobtail over in my semi. Great setup!! Let’s start by saying that the staff is VERY NICE no exaggeration I met 3 staff members in the short time I was there and everyone was nice and attentive. Prices are very reasonable, the menu and selection is very different I had the burger by the name of Good Morning and the Dill Pickle Fries sounds weird but the food was GREAT. I give this place a 10/10!! You can say different but I say what I experienced!!
