I’m so excited to tell you about the Barbecue Stop in Clay! This place is a true gem. A local favorite! The food is absolutely amazing and has won awards for good reason. But what really sets this place apart is the friendly faces and welcoming atmosphere. The staff is always so welcoming and happy to see you. The new owners Jen & Jeremy have poured their blood sweat and tears in to perfecting the recipes. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a delicious meal and feel like you’re part of the family. If you’re in the area, you absolutely have to check out the Barbecue Stop!

The food is absolutely delicious! Big portion sizes, the perfect amount of sauce, the ribs have lots of meat and are so tender they slide right off the bone. The mac and cheese is some of the best I have ever had.

Ordered 3 baked potatoes and ended up with diced potatoes and meat on top. They shouldn’t advertise it as a baked potato if that’s the case. I asked for no butter which they did, but the potatoes were so greasy it was not good. The pulled chicken was really dry even after adding the bbq sauce.I’m disappointed that I spent $40 and we all were let down by the food. This place used to be amazing. Hopefully it gets better.

Barbeque should always be good enough to eat without sauce, and this was just that. I didn’t even need to add sauce to my pork sandwich because the meat had such a great flavor. I’ve been passing this place for 12 years now and just now tried it so I’ve been missing out. It was great and the service was great as well. The fries and jumbo sandwich were more than enough for a meal.

Had a taste for BBQ today. This place was 5min from the house. Ordered the wings and a pulled pork sandwich….both were delicious. Customer service could be better, but I think they were in the middle of shift change, so I will give her that otherwise it was a great decision.

Always excellent barbeque! From ribs to wings to pulled pork the Stop makes and serves award winning meats and sides. They have 4 different sauces – I am personally a fan of the Carolina, but the Southern Peach is a wonderful compliment to their slow cooked pork. 1/2 a slab with sides and a drink $20.

Food is really good! I am a 15 minute drive home and it all stayed fresh. Even though two sides where forgotten it was corrected for future. Definitely will be more next times!

Reviews are old and only the good ones. The new honest Reviews they have deleted. Their food is different, no onion rings anymore. Their potatoes are warmed from the next day. It’s not the same.
