Staff is super friendly and welcoming. Food could have been better. We had to send back the open face turkey sandwich. My husband said the turkey tasted old and slimey, inedible. He was expecting roasted turkey breast but it was a deli turkey slab. I got the ham scramble plate with biscuit and gravy. It was just ok, ham had a slimey texture and the gravy tasted like it was from a jar. My son got the 2 piece chicken and waffles and it was probably the best of all 3. Waitress was nice to take back the open face turkey sandwich and replaced it with the Dillard breakfast, which was great!

A perfect breakfast spot. Absolutely perfect. The food is delicious and reasonably priced, and the staff is pleasant beyond reason, they actually all seem to love what they’re doing. I’d eat here every day if I could and I look forward to going back to try more of the menu!

My friend and I tried The Barn because we saw 4.5 stars review. To be fair the staff was friendly. We ordered the February special pork chops plate with 2 sides for $17 and coffee $3.50 , we were very disappointed wasted $40++, food was inedible. Chops was dry and chewy, clam chowder salty, we had few bites of cornbread and some mac and cheese.

Delicious food, locally owned, family run, thus place is this the type of business I love coming to. The did was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. And not just that the service was spectacular! My wife and I have definitely decided to Mahe this our local destination for dinners out.

My first time here and wow, what a let down. The tri tip was presliced and watery, appeared to have been boiled, had a slight smoke taste but no flavor, no dry rub. Mac and cheese looked mass produced and microwaved. I dont even know what to say but whoever is back there on the grill should be ashamed to serve this. I wont be back. I should have not payed either. Gross.

Had breakfast this morning at the Barn Cafe in Elk Grove California right off Grant Lane Rd. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere with cowboy hats hanging on the wall along with a colorful stuffed duck and farm like fixtures throughout the restaurant. The servers were extremely friendly even though it took a little longer then expected for the food to come out. The food was tasty especially the “Dillard.” The Dillard was only $5.99 and included 2 eggs, 2 bacon, hash browns and choice of toast. Hash Browns were amazing with ketchup and the eggs were tasty and fresh. Bacon was crispy and good but not great and the sour dough toast was decent. If your looking for a good breakfast at a reasonable price this is the place for you. #alwaysthetruth #hausershouse

I was there for an outdoor concert, which was a cool setup. I was amazed at how friendly, helpful, and efficient the staff were on such a busy night. I ordered the lemon chicken and it was juicy and flavorful. My only complaint is that I wish there were more vegetable side options besides just corn and a regular green salad. I would recommend this place, and now that I know it’s here and it’s good, I might have to come back just for a meal!
