I got the 9 piece cod basket for $25. I got the garlic and lemon pepper aioli, but it was hard to tell which was which. Neither tasted like citrus, but the one with less seasoning was a lot better and the other was too strong. The fish itself was great, it was perfectly crispy. I mostly just ate it covered in lemon juice and it was delicious. The fries were okay, I loved the texture but they were barely salted and could have used real seasoning.

A small restaurant with limited seating. Serves battered fresh cod along with shrimp, jumbo prawns, oysters, calamari and chicken strips. Many choices of dipping sauces. Regular, but good fries or cold slaw also available. Canned or bottled drinks mostly available. Always very busy.

I heard lots of great reviews regarding this restaurant. I ordered 2 orders of the 2 piece fish and chips and 2 coconut shrimp to go. I wasn’t really all that impressed. The fish was overcooked and a had been burnt. Was not happy about that especially since I paid $11.99 a plate. The coconut shrimp didn’t even taste like coconut. The cold slaw had cilantro in it. Wasn’t for my tasting. The fries were great. I wouldn’t go back because of the overcooked fish and the price I paid for it. Not high on my list

We ate here for the first time on 6/16/23. The cod fish is delicious. It is lightly battered and fried just right. The fries were seasoned and plenty of sauces to choose from and they are generous with sauces. I was not a fan of the cole slaw but otherwise it was perfect and I have already made a recommendation to a family member and we will definitely return.

I saw there sign fish N chips and thought I would give them a try and am glad I did. You have to check these guys out I ordered the 4 piece fish meal and it was delicious. The breading is light and the fish is fresh. I have found my new favorite fish place in South Salem. Thank guys for putting out great food.

Salmon was fresh ( although Atlantic) and very tasty. Good crisp batter that doesn’t soak up a bunch of oil. Great selection of dipping sauces. Very reasonably priced. If you’re going to McMenamins for your fish and chips, try this place instead.

Came here to try the fish and chips. I’m a sucker for this food so I needed to try it lol. Staff was good, food was okay. Got the 2 piece cod with fries and coleslaw. Fries were good and crunchy. Fish was okay. Light breading which is good, but the filet fell apart when I tried to fork off s piece. Maybe because I put to much lemon on it perhaps. Tiny, one or two bite side of coleslaw that was very dry. I added some tarter sauce to make it edible. Speaking of which, the tarter sauce was the best I ever tasted! I will come back and try other menu items
