This is a unique restaurant in downtown Mt. Dora for those looking for a change from American fare. We enjoyed very tasty potato pancakes for an appetizer. The sauerbraten and schnitzel were delicious. They were served along side the traditional German red cabbage and spaetzle. The service was personal and friendly in a very cozy atmosphere.

Came to Mount Dora to check out the town. Stopped at this German place to get a quick beer and bratwurst. They served me this. Other things on there menu might be better but what’s on the pic is a disgrace to Germany. Beer was good to be fair.

We had a very nice meal here. I spent some time in Germany back in the day and am a big fan of the cuisine. The food we had here was very good, but wasn’t quite what I was expecting or how I remember it. Saying this, I do recommend it and would eat here again.

La, our hostess and server, was wonderful and welcoming. She held a table for us and had a smile that was contagious. The dark draft lager was wonderful as well as the food. I did not care for the cheese struddle but the chocolate cake was excellent. Give this restaurant a try when visiting Mt. Dora because they deserve your business. Went here for lunch with a group of 10 friends. One person ordered soup that was so salty- it was inedible!! We passed it around and everyone said it was terrible!!! Another person ordered a ham sandwich and asked for some cheese on it-/ the server said that’s not how it’s served.

This place was really cute inside. The food was great and service was friendly. We got there early around 5pm on a Saturday to make sure we could get seated relatively quick. Due to limited seating for social distancing, we got there at a great time. We ordered the potato pan cakes, the Schweinbraten, Sauerbraten, and chicken schnitzel. All were very well cooked and delicious. Then we were torn with the 3 desserts they had so we ordered 1 of each: Black Forest cake-one of the best I’ve ever had, Apple Strudel and Cheese Strudel. Both just melted in your mouth, the dough was delicate and none were overly sweet. We will definitely be visiting again soon!

If I could give this place 10 stars I would! Amazing food and AMAZING service! We got a hax’n and it was 10/10, the pork schnitzels were perfectly crispy and the cheese strudel was the best thing I have ever tasted!! I love this place and will definitely return.
