Bomb tri tip sandwich! I get mild BBQ and it’s just right, it has a spice but not spicy, I would say all the sides are good as well just depends on what you want. Inside is small just a quick sit, eat and on your way. (We order on the phone before going)

I seen this place when I was passing by and the smell is what caught my attention. I got the 3 beef rib plate with the spicy BBQ sauce and it was amazing. The flavor of the BBQ sauce had just the right amount of spiciness, it really complimented the real tender ribs perfectly. I will definitely be coming back to try something different, until I have tried everything on the menu. I would recommend everyone try this place.

I’ve tried various Tri-Tip Sandwiches around Ventura County and by far this is my favorite sandwich. The meat itself is delicious, the bread roll is simple, but flavorful, and the homemade BBQ sauce is the best! The spicy is actually really spicy, so what I do is ask for “half and half” which is half mild, and half spicy BBQ sauce. The homemade chips are also really great! This is a must get for me every time I’m in Fillmore.

Cool staff, straight up barbecue, no gimmicks. Fantastic tri-tip sandwich & plate. Hot BBQ sauce is ON POINT! Hot enough to pile on for a spicy dude, mild enough to dip for a sensitive lady. Had it to-go & dined-in, both times 5/5 tri-tip. I would call it juicy & nice, thoroughly cooked but seriously just right coming from SFV, i always want to hit this spot after shopping for some cactus. I don’t care who else is cooking in Fillmore, please stay keeping it real Barbecue Place

Delicious! Hubby had the tri tip toasted sandwich and I went with the pork ribs. Their in house bbq sauce was perfect, employee who helped us gave a sample and was very nice too. They make their own chips too. Not at all greasy. Would be back if they weren’t so far from where I live.

Hands down the best bbq sauce I have had so far. Their spicy bbq sauce specifically. I have tried tritip sandwiches through out California and have yet to find a sauce that rivals the BBQ Place. The bread is nicely toasted. Tritip seasoning is good and can sometimes be a bit over cooked, but I will always go back for the sauce.

Food looks so much better than it actually tastes. I was really looking forward to this place and had been wanting to try for a long time. To begin with this isn’t real BBQ everything is make on a gas stove no Pit. The tri tip was dry and flavorless. The hot links probably were brought in from vons across the parking lot and the only thing that was good was the pork ribs. The BBQ sauce is not bad tasting but I’ve never seen runny bbq sauce that looks like it was made from powder packets. On to the salads…. The absolutely worst. No taste and the pasta was over boiled. The 5 star review even 4 must be fake or it’s from people who have no clue what BBQ should really taste like. Overall NO Thank you.

This place hands-down is the bomb! My wife and I drive from Ventura to eat here and we have not been disappointed. Try tip is amazing and their barbecue sauces are to die for.
