The Beach House is a fantastic restaurant that truly captures the essence of coastal living. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with a great view of the beach. The menu is varied and features a range of delicious dishes, including some of the best burgers and nachos I’ve ever tasted.

So far, I am not impressed with the service, starting with the person taking people’s names to be seated. This person was throwing a fit because people “wouldn’t stop coming,” slamming down the buzzers. It’s unprofessional. I’m hungry though so I guess I’ll just take the abuse. The atmosphere is nice once one gets past the gatekeepers. As for the food, that is yet to be seen as of the time I posted this.

Beech scenery view from the deck is relaxing and calming. Service is slow but servers are nice and polite. Food is not as good as I expected, but Strawberry walmart salad actually is tasty and fresh.

We have been going to this place for years because we typically love the drinks, especially compared to the bar directly on the beach. Normally we’ve had a great experience, but yesterday wasn’t ideal. We sat down at the bar outside and waited for someone to come over to take our drink order. Nobody approached although they did have two bartenders. One of the bartenders was more focused on talking to the woman sitting next to us. We continued to wait and had two couples show up and sit by us who were served almost immediately. I tried going inside to get drinks, and the bartenders didn’t acknowledge me at all, just looked at me and kept going. Then two men sat at the bar area inside and one received a drink without even ordering it. I’m generally pretty patient, but it was a 20 minute wait for a drink. Finally, Jose R came up and asked if we had been served and I said, “no, we’ve been sitting here for almost 20 minutes and nobody has offered to take a drink order” to which he replied with a skeptical look, “I don’t think it’s been that long.” I reassured him it had as I knew the exact time we sat down because I had just gotten off the phone with a friend as we walked up to the bar. He looked as if he was about to argue, then just asked me what we were having, and before I could finish my order, he was turning around (which I will attribute to the fact that we were ordering four drinks instead of two and he didn’t realize). The drinks were good. The service is slow and apparently comes with an attitude. It’s ridiculous to have people paying $15+ for a single drink and to have such an attitude about it. We spent over $60 on four drinks and were basically told we hadn’t actually been waiting that long and were lying about it. I will say, I’m sure Jose was a bit overwhelmed as he was doing the majority of the work while the other bartender was more preoccupied with socializing. For Jose, I’ll just assume he was having a bad day as he’s usually really nice. Regardless, even if you’re having a bad day, we were still paying customers and were paying for a service. I can only assume that if either of their bartenders went out and received the exact same service we received and paid with their hard earned money, they wouldn’t be thrilled about it either. As far as the food goes, it can take a while if you order. We didn’t get food this time solely because of the bad vibe, but it’s usually pretty tasty. If you’re in a hurry, this place probably isn’t for you. Would still definitely recommend their drinks though. They’re always well-made.

Just what I needed for a mid day break from the sun and to refuel. Great views of the Gulf just steps from pool and beach. The Strawberry walnut salad was one of the best I have had. It was refreshing and added the catch of the day to push it over the top. It is pretty sweet but so good.

The food was delicious, tasty, fresh and perfectly cooked. The view from the deck was incredible. The bright shining stars of the restaurant though would be the people. The staff was AMAZING! From the hostesses, our waitress, the manager, Lauren, the gentlemen that cleaned our table; you’re all phenomenal and wonderful in every way. They treated our baby boy like he was VIP. I will forever remember our experience with the people and this place. We will absolutely return again and recommend all our friends to visit it.

Not a lot to choose from on the menu, slow service, mediocre food, and more suited for people coming from the beach & pool. I rarely ever give 1-2 stars, but unfortunately I had to for this restaurant. This is my family’s first time within the Sandestin community and this is the first restaurant we chose to check out with it being right next to our condo. We waited about 5-10 minutes for the host to show up to the desk until he told us we’d have a 45 minute wait, but he stated that they usually overshoot their predicted wait time… which is correct because it only took about 20 minutes before we got seated. My party of 5 was seated in the back side of the restaurant away from the ocean view, but that didn’t really bother us… what did is how low & somewhat uncomfortable the chairs were at the table. The chairs are outdoor chairs (even though we were indoor) but I suppose they are that way to withstand people coming in from the pool/beach. After sitting down, the server took about 10 minutes to take our drink order, then another 15 minutes to take our appetizer order, then another 20 minutes to take our food order… bottom line, the service was SLOW. And unfortunately not very friendly either. Checked up on us maybe once. As far as the menu goes, there’s not much to choose from. Our appetizer was the cheese fries—which was fine, but they literally only put like 4 bacon bits on there. Definitely low tier cheese fries. For my main meal, I got the Gulf Shrimp & Crabmeat Pasta, which was honestly mediocre—I couldn’t eat it all because I could already feel the heartburn coming (mainly due to the spice). I also had some of the Beach House Nachos, and I personally liked those better than the pasta. Were they great? No, but they were ok. It’s definitely a hefty serving too, so they seem like the perfect dish to split with another person. On top of everything, the food was EXPENSIVE for was it was.

The view from the balcony is gorgeous. I love the blackened grouper and the girls had fried shrimp. However the staff getting into the resort, parking, was horrible. We made a wrong turn trying to get to the restaurant and the security guard in his 70’s was very unfriendly and even I made him actually do his job to tell me where to go rather than just turn me around he was agitated. The restaurant does not have adequate AC, no matter the wait, try to get seating outside. You won’t regret it. The food was really good however stick with beer and soda. All the mixed drinks including the kids virgin Pina colada, and my wife’s moonshine tea were watered down. Our drinks could barely taste the alcohol. I highly recommend the grouper sandwich. The hostess was amazing, however the rest of the staff tended to care for the people outside rather than the customers sweating inside. I would go back following my advice on being outside. I think the review would have been 4 stars. The drinks were very disappointing.
