We decided to give this place a try on a Sunday evening. It wasn’t that busy, but our server in particular did not seem welcoming. First, she thought we had placed the order already and did not come to our table for quite a while, after sorting that out, we waited another 15-20 minutes for food to arrive. Apart from the chaotic introduction, the food was delicious. The pork belly was cooked to perfection. We loved the presentation as well. There was a good amount of vegetation options on the menu as well as gluten-free. I wouldn’t call the prices that reasonable for there were only a few entrees and they only came with either one or no sides. We were a bit taken aback by our experience with the server. Other than that, I would recommend this place for its unique cuisine and the overall atmosphere.

After dinner, we were looking for a place to have drinks in the college hill area. Belmont didn’t disappoint. They had outdoor and indoor seating. The decor inside was amazing. Gave me classical, yet modern feels. Loved it. Felt very relaxed there. No pressure. Everyone is dressed up and having a good time. Not too close to others inside. Very intimate feeling at night. Parking on site is a bit tight, but plenty in the safe neighborhoods immediately surrounding it. I had the kolsch beer and it was fantastic. Will return on a date night or with a group of friends. Really enjoy the atmosphere.

We went there for a couple shower in the upper level and it was decorated nicely and the food was good. We had charcuterie boards and bruschetta boards and the most amazing chocolate chip cookies that were huge humongous. They served wine with it and have a nice selection of wines.

Nice environment and friendly staff, but the food is only mediocre, the service was pretty slow, and there is very little parking. Overall, I am pretty disappointed. I had high hopes for this place, but don’t think the parking nightmare and general chaos of the area is worth it.

We just moved back to Wichita after living in KC for 36 yrs. We’ve been excited to discover new places in Wichita, including restaurants. The Belmont was rated as one of the top 10 in Wichita with 5 star reviews. We had friends in from out of town so decided to try The Belmont. At first our server was present…and then disappeared. The Bruschetta was underwhelming and a couple of us had the pasta dish (the only one) and it was served luke warm. We asked to have it reheated and 20 minutes later got the same luke warm pasta again, after most of our party had already eaten their burgers. We had ‘service’ but no one person outside of Tim (who was great!) taking care of us. Expressed our concerns to him and he asked if we’d like to speak to a manager. When that person never came, we requested our bill and left, very disappointed with the food, lack of service consistency, and no care about the customer’s experience (except for Tim). Sad to treat friends from out of town, and our first time at The Belmont. Can’t say if and when we’ll ever return.

It had been a while since I was last at The Belmont. My go-to beet salad isn’t on the menu anymore. My niece & I went with grilled salmon & The Douglas burger after a roasted vegetable appetizer (not pictured). Our server (Tim) was fantastic. It was a lovely evening on the patio, even after the wind kicked up.

Food was unique and delicious. Staff was friendly and very attentive. Atmosphere was wonderful. We sat inside next to the open bay doors. We tried the bruschetta (strawberry with mint, peaches and cream and the one with prosciutto) and loved all three choices. The pork steak was spectacular and the Field Greens salad had so many wonderful flavors. We didn’t have cocktails, but they looked delicious!! The complimentary cookies were a wonderful final touch. What a fantastic new place in a very upscale feeling neighborhood, but without a pretentious feel. We will definitely be back!
