My first time enjoying this establishment under new ownership. The food was great, the service was great, and the atmosphere was laid back and enjoyable. Owning and managing a restaurant in a small town is not easy in any way, and the Belvedere is doing a great job of it!

My wife and I ate here during our visit to Saranac Lake. The food here was phenomenal. We started with the eggplant poutine which came with an excellent red sauce and melted fresh mozzarella. Our salads, with homemade salad dressings, were fresh and tasted great. I ordered the haddock and my wife ordered ratatouille baked ziti. Both plates came out right from the oven and, again, the food was great. We were both so full we couldn’t do dessert! Would highly recommend and definitely make it a point to visit when I return to Saranac Lake.

They added a 3% charge for using a credit card, with no mention on the menu, on the way in or before ordering not sure that’s legal). Some food was good (poutine), others, disappointing (mushroom risotto was terrible). Service was lovely.

Went here recently and was very dissapointed. The service pretty much ignored us for the first hour not even offering refills of water. The food was pretty average quality which would have been fine if it wasnt for the cost of the dishes. We had plans to go out around town but ended up sitting for nearly 3 hours even waiting for them to bring and collect checks. The 2nd star is for the atmosphere as it was cozy. Not recomended and will not be returning.

Wow, the chef knows how to cook fish! The best salmon I’ve had in a long time – not dry at all, seasoned beautifully, very few chefs get the degree of doneness right and salmon ends up being dry and a little tough. This salmon was like butter! Great salads too!! And the marinara on the pasta is delicious!!

Every time I visit the area, The Belvedere is on my list of places I must visit. In fact, its at the top of my list of restaurants. I love the spaghetti and meatballs. Simply the best, not just for the area, but the best Italian food I’ve ever had!
