The Bent Nail was exactly what I was looking for! First time in Texas for work, it was a cold day and right when I walked in I felt immediately better. It was warm, food smelled GREAT! And as I walked past people eating, their food looked FIRE! I was excited.. the staff was super friendly and helpful. James, Tiffany, Brie and Riley were so nice to me and gave me a great experience!

The only reason I give this 4 stars and not five is because they were out of all the meats except chicken, sausage, and the spare rib tips. Because of this they graciously gave us lots of extra meat so it was a pretty great deal! They were excellent! Running out only means you amazing barbecue! The chicken was a little too spicy for my wife but I thought it was great. We also had the Mac and cheese which was also good. We hope to return soon and try other meats, if they haven’t run out yet!

Party of three adults arrived about 5:30 on a Wednesday. There was no one else in the restaurant. First in line ordered a sliced brisket plate with Coldslaw and banana pudding. After she’d already paid, she was told they were out of coleslaw and out of banana pudding. Second in line ordered a sliced brisket plate and was told they were out of brisket. He then ordered the chicken and was told they were out of chicken! He then said forget it, I’ll go somewhere else. We all decided to leave after that.

Oh heck. This establishment is beyond phenomenal!!! They run out of food, which is an attest to how amazing it is. Everything I’ve EVER had there, tastes great!!! If bbq was magic, these guys are the David Copperfield, of their craft. Awesome job, Bent Nail!!!

This place is the greatest BBQ! The staff is very friendly. The place is very clean and the atmosphere is very pleasant. The street tacos are very tasty and the banana pudding is DELICIOUS ! Check ✔️ this place out. It’s been a long time I haven’t eaten good BBQ in Lubbock. They also have a kids menu.

Normally we love the brisket here. I got 2 lbs of the sliced beef which is what we usually get. It was tough as a boot and had no flavor at all. It smelled like smoke but none of the smoke flavor was in the meat itself. I don’t know what they have changed but I hope they go back to what they were doing.

The drive thru girl was fantastic, but sadly it ends there. My husband got the two meat plate only two slices of brisket at that price WTH?? My son got the loaded brisket potato it was ok according to him but he’s had better, I got the two meat of brisket and sausage. Sausage was old as it was dry, hard, and shriveled up. My brisket was dry and crunchy not the ends I like those at other places we’ve tried and been too. We spent over $60 bucks for this stuff??? I’m not a happy person not is my son or husband and our bellies aren’t full….

Great place to take the family, Frito Pie is the GOAT, I saw Patrick Mahomes in here a couple years ago, he said it was his favorite BBQ place in the LBK.
