The food was so delicious. This was my first time eating Nigerian food. The owner was so kind and helpful and very patient with explaining the different kinds of choices of food. The okra soup with goat meat will be my all-time favorite because I love okra. Everything that I purchased was delicious and I look forward to going back very soon. .

This place is a hidden gym. It was very flavorful and fresh. I got the Cassava leaves with beef and white rice and a side of plantain. It did not disappoint. I requested to make it spicy and they easily accommodated me. They also have boudin (I got the crawfish boudin) which is a plus! The service was friendly and I would definitely recommend. I can’t wait to go back!

We stopped here on a whim and I’m so glad we did!!!! Food was excellent and I can’t wait to go back. My mom got the egusi soup and I had the beef tacos, and we enjoyed every bit. We also got some jollof rice and plantains, and I highly recommend getting some as a side dish. I love the variety of food choices and the staff was so delightful and knowledgeable. You can tell they really enjoyed cooking and talking.

This is a gem of a restaurant if you are in or near the Desoto, TX area and you love Nigerian food! Seasoned perfectly, it is not too spicy or too bland. However, your dish can be as spicy as you like. I enjoyed chicken, jollof rice, and plantains. The portions were hearty and the taste was EXCELLENT! I will DEFINITELY be back! The owner was welcoming and had great conversation explaining how they cook the meals. There is seating, a television, and other smaller food and beverage items available for purchase. I am so glad to have found them!

I was greeted with a big smile! The man who helped me was so nice and even showed me the bowl sizes. He made sure the spice wasn’t too much for me and even put a small container of seasoning on the side! besides the service, the EGUSI with GOAT meat was delicious!!! I ate it all and i can’t wait to go and get more!

My son and I got the beef tacos and fufu with egusi soup w beef. The tacos were so full of meat, the flavor was good and it came with salsa and rice. The rice was spice and delicious. The salsa was not too spicy to eat and had good flavor. It was my first time eating fufu and it was so good! Good texture and went so good with the egusi soup. The man that helped me was kind and helpful with choosing the spice level. Will definitely be going back for the jollof rice!

Not open during posted business hours. I decided to give this restaurant a try on a Sunday evening around 6:30pm and they were not open. The security bars were propped open however, the actual door was locked. There were also 2 cars outside so someone had to be inside. The business hours for Sundays are listed as 11am-9pm. Either the hours are wrong or they are closing during their updated business hours. I would like to give this business a second chance. Hopefully they will actually be open during their business hours the next time I feel like stopping by.

This is my 1st time trying African cuisine and I loved it. I had the egusi soup with chicken and beef. Also, got okra soup with same meats. And plantains. I wanted to try the goat with the soups, but they didn’t have any. But that was okay. I loved the food and I will be back! Kevin was soooo nice too! Definitely try this place out!
