The food at the Big Elk Restaurant was fabulous. The BLT sandwich was wonderful, with perfectly toasted wheat bread, with tasty bacon an pickles. The onion rings where definitely made there and not the fried frozen kind. The NY steak was cooked to my liking (med-well) but still juicy. The service was great.

An awesome place to have lunch breakfast or dinner. The food is very yummy and the portions generous. I’ve been here several times and it’s hard to say what my favorites are but I love the elk Burger, the clown chowder and the all you can eat oysters. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and I love eating here.

Excellent everything. First, the restaurant was a comfortable temperature. I hate it when I need a parka to enjoy my meal. The Surf-n-turf and the medium halibut dinner were good size proportions and tasted excellent. Their coleslaw is a sweet coleslaw and was very tasty. I had a blackberry lemon drop that was a full size glass and very tasty as well. A great restaurant that we will definitely be frequenting when we go to Sequim.

Great experience. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Big portions. I had the elk burger, my wife had the crispy chicken salad.Both very good and prices are very reasonable considering the quality and portions. Seems to be popular with the locals. Definitely recommend.

The service was excellent. But I have to say, this is some of the weirdest food I’ve ever had… The clam chowder tasted like a bowl of corn starch, which led me to believe it was not made, but came from a can. The same with the gravy they put on the mashed potatoes… Some kind of canned stuff. Vegetables came in a little dish and were so completely overcooked that I wasn’t even sure what they were… no taste and some cold and some warm. I’m sorry to leave this review, but I left feeling absolutely shocked at how strange the food was.

When you walk in the ladies greet you with a warm smile and make you feel like a dear friend. The chefs can Cook! a medium rare steak is actually medium rare! The sirloin dip is the best sandwich my lady has had. The portions are perfect and we did end up with bread pudding and pie to-go to eat later, Delicious! The Best place to eat and we will always return when in town.

Food used to be really good. Now it tastes like it’s been sitting in the freezer for weeks and we got sick. My French dip was all fat, and the fish n chips was way too dry. Seafood smelled super fishy. The server didn’t even comp the meal we didn’t eat, even though I said I didn’t like it. They were also blatantly talking about us right in front of us. Little did they know- we know Spanish. Definitely will not be going back. They are clearly struggling.

What an incredible restaurant! The food was amazing , the staff was attentive and we left with full bellies ! The restaurant was so clean and the bathrooms too. We never waited for refills, and were very happy with our experience. I ordered the chowder and it did not disappoint. My children had breakfast and my husband had the elk burger . Nice large serving sizes and everything came out hot ! We loved it

Slow Hands
This place has a very diverse menu with great food options, including homemade pies. Our order came pretty fast, presentation was good, cleanliness was good at out table and restroom, one seafood item was overcooked but the serving were decent size. Other customers were friendly creating a nice atmosphere. While one staff member tried to compensate by cooking, cleaning and help with service, the other attempted only the bare minimum and despite repeated requests that person failed to bring condiments as requested, then she never returned to refill coffee even one time. Would consider returning for the food, but the namesake is misleading as there are a scant few “elk” options and service will probably result in visiting different establishments first.
