Don’t miss this gem! Dined in for supper on 6/24/23 after a long day driving. Parking was right outside the door on the street (on a hillside with a pretty good slope). The a/c felt wonderful but couldn’t compete with the hot sun coming through the windows of the river view room so it was shut off to diners but we didn’t mind. Staff was very friendly and we had cold sweet tea in a quick minute to enjoy while perusing the menu. Atmosphere was relaxed and family friendly. There was a bar to enjoy as well as live music after 7:00. Food was hearty and delicious….a round of applause for those biscuits! Yummmmmm Y’all don’t miss this place when visiting Vicksburg! There are parks and green spaces with photo ops right across the street and also around the corner to enjoy and help walk off your full belly afterwards.

ALWAYS…. We eat at Rustys when in Vicksburg. So we wanted to try somewhere different while passing through Vickburg…WAS NOT DISSAPOINTED! The establishment is right in the historical district, up the road from the Yazoo River. The atmosphere was great. Old former brick biscuit bakery. Place looks like a old school bar. Staff was extremely warm and welcoming. Very friendly. Menu is priced good. Not fast food prices but not stupid expensive, super affordable. Lot of broad choices but you MUST get the hamburger steak!! I love hamburger steak and this is the BEST EVER. we also had the catfish, it was good. Service was good. Waitress was personable and informative. They are very proud of there hometown. The biscuits are great. Service was quick. Clean place. STRONLY RECOMMEND.

Got blue plate special. Fried pork chop, side salad, mashed, smothered squash. Typical Yankees, we were surprised by the “fried”. We didn’t realize it was coated. Smothered squash..waitress was surprised when we asked what it was. Asked us if we knew what squash was…of course we did..it was the smothered part we didn’t. Maybe it’s a well known dish? Any how, it was squash, onions, and potatoes. All in all everything was tasty. There’s a big old magnolia outside and we sat where we could see the many inhabiting birds dive in and out. Ask about the bldg, they’ll give u a history sheet to read. I’d go back.

A fun little gem! We came for dinner as a party of 4 and were able to sit in the front room that overlooks the water. Our waitress was new but she did fine. She did have to go back to the bar/kitchen to answer a few of our questions but she did well. The biscuits truly were great and we enjoyed our fried catfish. The blackened shrimp wrap was tasty as well. For the wraps there are a lot of options for proteins and sauces. Even the simple side salad was nice, it tasted fresh. Overall we had a very good experience and would recommend this place!

I had very fast and frequent service. I ordered a small side of biscuits and they were the most perfect biscuits that I have had in at least a decade if not my life. They were golden brown on top but not dried out or burned on the bottom, were great with butter and molasses.

Lord have mercy, our server Connie bless her heart must have been new . Everything came out with things we asked not to be on the sandwiches. Everything was cold. The biscuits were on point but everything else was hospital food. And I think she had her eyes closed when she made this salad. Ranch was good but there were only two bites of lettuce in that bowl lol. I was so excited to try this place , I’ll never go back .

Had heard things from a friend, but she is tuned in to local gossip. Went for lunch with a coworker. Catfish was fried and battered well, but kinda bland. Sweet potato fries were delish. Atmosphere was quiet for lunch and we appreciated that.

6-21 Loved the food, atmosphere and wait staff, glad the Ameristar Casino turned us away this is place we now eat at. 7-8-23 came back to eat dinner absolutely wonderful, and the steak bites were the best I have had. Wonderful wait staff. A must to stop and eat.

This was a GREAT place! The atmosphere is awesome, and the food was fantastic! There is parking on the street, right outside the entrance, but it is on a steep hill. There was plenty of parking on a cross street just a short walk away. Ok, back to the food. They boast about their catfish, and it did NOT DISAPPOINT! You MUST get the biscuits, too! We also had the house burger and the Ribeye. EVERYTHING was delicious! The only negative to say, and it is REALLY MINOR, (I still rate the service 4 out of 5) was the service. There are other reviews commenting on bad service. This was NOT our experience. They must be short staffed. Our server was one of only 2, and service was a little slower than might otherwise have been. She did her best under the circumstances. She was attentive and pleasant! I highly recommend it! If we are ever back in Vicksburg, we will definitely be eating here again!

The atmosphere is wonderful and you can see the water upstairs. The food was good with handmade burgers and fries. The wait staff was the low point. Slow service, forgot to check back, argued with our order, I guess the restaurant only had 1 bottle of ketchup that had to be moved around tables constantly. Hopefully it wasn’t a regular thing.
